Cornerways

What a lovely place to stay. First a warm welcome from Stuart. The rooms are large and airy and spotlessly clean. There is a downstairs sitting room which we really appreciated, with interesting books about the history of Ventnor out on the table. There is a grassy garden terrace too for sitting outside. The walk into the centre of town is only about 15 mins, and it feels like a botany trail because of all the luscious flowering plants tumbling over (and through!) people's garden walls. We did think that because it's called a B+B the room rate would include breakfast, but looking more carefully at the booking confirmation it does say clearly that it's room only. A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. I would love to stay there again.

We were so pleased we chose Cornerways, which is located in a quiet road within walking distance of the centre of Ventnor and the beautiful village of Bonchurch, which is well worth a visit. We had a standard room with a sea view. The room was very nicely furnished with a spacious, newly renovated en suite shower room and all meticulously clean. The bed was very comfortable and the hosts, Stu & Linda were so welcoming and relaxed about use of the facilities in the dining room, lounge and garden, we felt very much at home. Stu had some good tips on where to eat and good places to visit. We would definitely recommend and hope to go back again.

An amazing return visit. We were warmly greeted by our hosts Linda and Stuart . Cornerways is a beautiful house where we feel relaxed the minute we enter. It is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very quiet. We particularly appreciate the optional continental breakfast served in a picnic basket and delivered to your room at your chosen time. This stay was primarily to visit the Bonchurch Open Gardens which was an absolute delight Cornerways is situated only a ten minute stroll from the village so a car was not necessary (no parking hassle involved), A shuttle bus was on hand for transport between various gardens if required. All in all a fantastic weekend and one we intend to repeat next year. Cornerways has a 100% recommendation from us!

Excellent place to stay, though a little way out of the town centre. Nice quiet area. The accommodation was very comfortable , clean , and beautiful decor/ furnishings , in keeping with a building of that age, although our room was a bit small. The continental breakfasts were varied in choice, and not overpriced. Guests could make teas/ coffees whenever they want , in the breakfast room , full choice of teas. We would definitely go there again, and recommend to friends.

Great place to rest your head. High quality room, friendly and helpful staff, clean and great value for money. Sumptuous bed. Excellent healthy breakfast brought to your room. I would certainly go back and would also recommend to friends.

Spotless and friendly hotel in a strategic location near the main attractions (beach, botanic gardens, restaurants and shops). Super friendly and handy host that suggested us to book a restaurant as a first thing (we travelled before a bank holiday and we hadn't thought of it). Great ambience and well-decorate place with a lovely garden. We'll pay another visit again. Thanks Stuart for having been a super host! PS I strictly recommend visit the dairy farm Briddlesford and Quan Abbey as animals are kept well, there's a special vibe there and local products are top quality.
