The B&B was difficult to find in Ventimiglia due to incorrect information in the description on the internet. It can only be reached from the train station after a fairly steep climb. The rooms are beautiful. Now comes a big problem: the steep and narrow stairs are hardly manageable for people who are not so fit and have luggage! Tall people may have problems because of the sometimes low ceiling height.

I hope that many people can read this comment to take it into consideration before booking. The owner is a ******. So if you are not Italian, you are not welcome in this place, you should know that because I have been told so. Basically, I had my reservation made and he called me to confirm my arrival time. After a completely normal call, the man (Claudio) called me back, by mistake, and he started to criticise me, apparently the man hates people who speak Spanish, so he decided that I was a, quote, "South American cretin", funny Claudio's ignorance, as I am Spanish. But anyway, that's obviously the least of it, I don't understand how a ****** and incompetent person like him can have or work in a public-facing place that is surely full of "non-Italian" people who come to visit his town... Anyway, worst experience ever. Please go somewhere else and don’t give a penny to someone like that. Raquel

This is a fantastic b&b high up in Ventimiglia old town with spectacular views of the new town below. The bedrooms are on multiple levels accessed through communal areas. The decor is rich and quirky and unique with superb old wooden floors and rough stone walls. Breakfast is held at the long table in the main common area. Fruit/ pastries/ breads/ cheeses/ cold meats -all very fresh - and very good coffee. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with the other guests at the table in the morning. I highly recommend this b&b. Staying there is an unforgettable experience. I have two 'be aware of's' - 1/ We arrived late (2320) and were welcomed by Alamin who was very generous with his time and showed us around. However there is a late fee of €20 if you arrive after 2200. It is mentioned in the booking page but in an area you might overlook in your eagerness to book. 2/ The b&b is in the heart of the old town. The streets are narrow and there is very little on-street parking. Our host Claudio offered us off-street parking for an extra €20 but we took a chance and got lucky finding a space beside the cathedral plaza (which is very close to the b&b and very beautiful.) Even if you have to pay those extra costs we think the price for staying in this quite remarkable building is very reasonable and we feel privileged to have stayed here. We highly recommend it to fellow travellers.

We had our secnod stay here based on our amazing experience last September,. It is in the heart of old Ventimiglia a few hundred meters away from restaurants and bars. Very cosy, friendly and romantic accommodation, neat and nice room and excellent breakfast.

No response to the message sent. Room for athletes. No parking access. Don't commit to taking your suitcases to reach your room!!! Very average reception. Remember to take a good look at the door opening system to exit!! Earplugs were welcome..

The owner of the property was very friendly and kind, even though we arrived much earlier, he welcomed us. Very kind and polite staff, the structure is very clean with antique furniture and stone walls. Abundant breakfast, perfect choice.

I spent a night in this B&B located in Ventimiglia Alta and I can only say that I was sorry not to be able to extend my stay. Everything here is taken care of down to the smallest detail, clean and very characteristic. The room is really large, with a mezzanine so it can accommodate up to 4 guests. The bathroom, however, is very small, but still functional. On hot days breakfast is prepared on the terrace, while on cold days (as in my case) in the internal common area. The buffet is not too varied, but still satisfies both the sight and the appetite! And the candles at the table give that extra touch! The only small note: perhaps a sign on the street also indicating to go to the top floor of the building could help guests to orient themselves. Arriving in the evening, I struggled a bit to find the exact place.
