We spent new year at the hotel 2024. A family of 5 in a lovely apartment overlooking the town. Totally confused by the negative reviews of this place. The staff are lovely and very helpful, the hotel is great for kids with activities every night. We loved it. Hired from the ski shop below the hotel which was easy. Buses run outside every 10 mins to the slopes which are walkable. The apartment was great. Plenty of room, 2 bathrooms, well done throughout. Kitchen had everything we needed but we mostly eat out. There is a pool which is a little on the cold side but lovely and clean. Sauna and steam room were great. The ferocious deposit requirements and fines are basically due to ****** attending the rise festival who have caused problems for the hotel. So as long as you're not planning on smashing the place up and being a dick then it's all good. Don't forget that these are pretty much self catering apartments which they quite clearly state. Yes this means you need to buy your own toilet roll (whoever wrote the negative reviews is likely a trust fund chalet dweller expecting a 5 star concierge). Loved it and will come again.

Just returned from spending Christmas week in this hotel. Cannot fault it. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are based on. We were a family of 6 with older teenagers and we found our 2 bed apartment to be very comfortable. A large sofa bed, bunk beds and a big master bedroom. Two shower and one toilet, but with plenty of public toilets in the hotel this wasn't a problem. Loads of hot water. Perhaps the only improvement would be one more comfy chair. Helpful staff who were happy to point us in the right direction and print-out information when necessary. A great kitchen set up with all the cooking utensils you could need. Large fridge, 3 hobs a dual function oven, offee maker, toaster and dishwasher. You are provided with 6 dishwasher tablets so take more. There is also a washing machine and dryers in the hotel which I believe is €9. You can have breakfast pastries and bread delivered if ordered before 18.00 for 08.00 the next morning, but my husband liked getting up and walking to the local boulangerie. There is access to a small ski area behind the hotel. This benefitted us on the first day of the holiday as most of the lifts were closed on the upper slopes in the main ski range. As a result we were told that there were large queues, however behind the hotel we went up and down the chairlift with no waiting time. For the rest of the holiday it really is less than 10 minutes to the main chair lift. The "hill" down from the hotel is just a 30 second walk. If you can't walk to the lifts the buses are very accessible, and we used it to get to the night skiing which was great fun. Special mention for the ESF ski show which we really enjoyed and the free mulled wine and hot chocolate. The boot room is fine, there are pinchpoints but as a family of 6 we always got out without a problem. We hired our skis from skiset below the hotel. They were really helpful for directions to places and changed boots when needed. We had two really nice meals out at The Spot (build your own burger) and Les Sagnes (tradional fondue, crepes, gallettes etc). Both delicious. All in all we thought the hotel and resort were fabulous and will definitely want to go back.

Well 5th trip to France. Location is good, large hotel, rooms spotless modern great size for a party of 7. The hotel is huge..we did have to request a lower level apartment due to mobility etc...lovely pool sauna and steam room...plenty of towels but would take some of your own in particular for the swim/pool. Resort quite compact...recommended is to book restaurants in advance. The bus is alleged to run every 10/15 minutes to the Jandri which is the central point in particular fir ski school and magic carpet etc...before arriving do some research as it is not as easy to navigate as you may think. Ski rental is possible everywhere...however as not to carry our skis and boots with us each morning and evening back to hotel lockers we hired a rental space at the foot of the Jandri..which wad great for us and the children to walk back to hotel ( buses not dependable). This will cost 5 euros pp per day. Food is accessible fresh bread and a number of supermarkets avaable. Remember to adhere to the request on departure to ensure 400 euros deposit is returned to you..and take pictures as we have on leaving to ensure this...overall a great ski experience fir us all...sadly there is no help from the French but this is across the board in my experience spanning years...shame really...I would recommend the hotel and resort though

Avoid this hotel at all costs. A group of 6 of us arrived at this hotel for Rise festival. Our drop off was quite far from the hotel, and with no signage. Upon arrival, we were asked to put down a 800 Euro deposit, which I did on my credit card, but they didn't actually do a pre authorization/hold, they took the 800 Euro's directly from my account. I asked to speak to the manager/anyone that could speak english and no one could help me. I was told at the end of the week, my deposit would be refunded and someone would be on the desk to help with that. We were allocated the 5th floor. During our stay, the lift broke down for a total of 5 days. The reception/staff team couldn't care in the slightest and made it like it was our fault the lift was broken. When we asked when the lift engineers were coming we were told they aren't working. The hotel is no where near any sort of ski lift, so not only do you need to walk down hundreds of stairs to get your ski gear, you then need to walk up them. Note, the boot room is a further 2 floors down. The amenities for a 6 person group were poor. One toilet roll, 3 washing dishwasher tablets, and only 1 black bag for the entire stay - Reception refused to provide us with anything else and it was all out of our own pocket. The hotel states they have a heated pool. I think you'd be warming laying in 6 inch snow. I am now 11 days into chasing the hotel for my immediate return of the deposit and they continue to hang up on me when I call and they no longer respond to my emails - I have decided to chargeback the hotel via my credit card provider.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The prices were ridiculous, starting with the 800€ deposit. I have now called the hotel twice since leaving about not receiving the deposit, which we were told would take only 48 hours. The first phone call they told me they would have to get back to me about it, which they didn’t, so I called back in the morning to be told that it would in fact be taking 2-3 more days to receive it. I let them know that their staff should not be giving false pretences and that I would be calling them if my money is not in my account within 3 days. We have video evidence that the room we stayed in was in the same condition as when we arrived, which I would definitely recommend since the reasons for charge are so ridiculous, for example, 25€ for not putting your linen in a bag and putting it outside your room, 50€ for leaving your bin in the room, 200€ for not hoovering and mopping the room and so many more ridiculous things.

Where to begin? First, in a room of 6 adult males, 1 toilet roll was provided for a 6 day stay. When asked for additional rolls (a basic amenity in any establishment) we were initially told that the nowhere in the entire hotel, with all of its rooms, had any spare, but had they any spare, we would be provided extra. The manager then corrected her receptionist and told us that it wasn’t policy to provide additional toilet roll, and we were turned away. Staff seemed to be inexperienced when asked simple questions and were in conflict in relation to this specific circumstance. In the same sentiment, the group was given only two room keys which was a huge inconvenience throughout the stay. The sauna, steam room and pool services were sub-par; the amenities were rarely available and cold when we did have the chance to test them. Impressively, their locker system was worse. Each individual locker was locked via a combination lock, with the code found on a sticker on the backside of the locker door. It quickly became apparent that each consecutive combation was one integer more than the last, evidently placing our belongings at risk of theft. General cleanliness throughout the hall as well as the room was poor. Shower caulk had been neglected which resulted in mould forming around the base of our shower and the ceiling above our balcony doors had collapsed to the point that debris scattered the already-cramped living room floor. Hallways were more-often-than-not littered with plastic and stains both on the floor and up the walls. Most alarming however were the policies plastered on posters around the hotel. Insignificant human error was punishable by unreasonably harsh fines, such as the €70 fines for failing to take out bin bags - of which we again were provided only one - an €800 fine for walking inside the building whilst wearing snow boots, or the €150 fine for merely smelling of tobacco or other substances - a ludicrous restriction to impose on any person besides the vagueness of the term ‘other substances’ and the subsequent use of their self-appointed discretion to bring one to question for a mere smell.

Having read many of the bad reviews I was concerned before arriving. There was a bit of a walk to the apartment from reception but the place was spotless. Reception staff were nice and the child minder Blandine was excellent. We did have to clean the apartment on exit but this would have been the same if we stayed in an Airbnb. The location was a little bit away from the slopes but there is a complementary town bus running every 15mins from just a few metres from the hotel. There were some parties in the hotel in an apartment above us which kept us awake.

Clean and modern hotel, with great views from the balcony. Short walk to the slopes. Rooms are small, we were a group of 4 in a 6 bed apartment and struggled. Long queue for check in when we arrive Saturday early evening. On last day we had to check out at 10am but flight wasn’t until evening so we left our luggage in luggage room which front of house staff helped us with. However when we returned later in the afternoon the luggage room was locked and there was no staff on front desk to help us unlock it. We spent 30 mins trying to find a member of staff, calling the hotel, ringing the emergency number with no success. Eventually a cleaner was able to help us but was a very stressful experience and meant we were later than planned to the airport. Cannot understand why the staff did not tell us when we left our luggage that the front desk would be unmanned from 12-4:30pm!
