Unable to travel due to only driver unwell. Requested hotel to waive cancellation fees out of goodwill and was refused. Are we expected to drive 6hrs with a child

A very nice hotel , in calm area , just 400 m walking from mestre train station , around there are cafes , restaurant and supermarkets , you can go to Venice St, lucia by train or bus

Excellent hotel. Comfortable room, everything you need is there, cleaning was done every day.
The location is close to bus stops and trains, you can get to the center of Venice.
I was there in July, when the weather was very hot, so I really liked the air conditioning in the room, it was nice to come back to.
But a blanket would not fit.
