Convenient location near Amsterdam and the North Sea, with easy access to public transportation. Friendly staff. However, guests found the bunk beds uncomfortable and unsuitable for adults.

We were looking for a base near Amsterdam and the coast and this fitted the criteria. Looked at previous reviews on this site and note the comments regarding the flight path to the nearby airport. This was a constant issue which should be considered if looking to stay in peak times with family but as we only used it at a base for day trips it didn’t spoil our stay. Faults/damage need to reported within 2 hours of booking in which apart from a few marks and stains on curtains the accommodation was overall in good condition. Due to the time of the year the site was quiet but the Clubroom/bar was open and we found all staff friendly and helpful. As it states on the web site you need to take everything for you stay apart from bedding.

The worst place ever! Haven’t even been there, but I booked a stay for my family and me (3 small kids), we are traveling through Europe and this was our second last stop before going home. 5 min after I booked, I noticed I’ve booked the 20 June instead of 20 of July. I call immediately after (10 min after I payed), and they rejected to fix it. I’m so sad lost the money and I don’t have many, because of a stupid mistake. And on their website it says free cancellation within 24 hours. I did it in 10 min.! And still no help. I would never go there now never recommend it. They stole my money and they just have an empty house now on the wrong dates instead at a little bit of service and politeness. I’ve been calling so many times to ask, and one lady said no problem, men the. The front desk maneuver Roberto rejected us. :-(

I have very mixed feelings about this place. We stayed in one of the tiny homes. The home was very nice, clean, kitchen was perfect and functional. Beds were comfortable. Nice table and chairs and small living area with comfortable couch and TV. This home is really not for people traveling internationally like us. We came from the US, traveling around the country, and we did not have amenities that we needed with us. We did pay for linens, but you do have to pay six euros per towel set. We had to buy our own toilet paper. They were no kitchen towels. They do give you a small package with a garbage bag, dishwasher, tablets, and sink soap. They do have a sauna, but you can only use it when the desk is open, which is limited hours. And even the hours posted or not necessarily the hours that they are there. For example, after a long day of touring, it would’ve been nice to use the sauna. But at 5:30 PM they were closed. No one at the front desk. Even though it said there would be. I think if you were traveling and you were local, I wanted to do this for your vacation, it would probably be very nice. If you were a family, you certainly could get the joining homes. But there’s nothing to do actually in the facility and you have to drive wherever you want to go. It is close to Amsterdam and the beach. The other thing, is, if the sound of airplanes bother you, forget it. We did not find them bothersome, but we did keep the windows closed at night. (we didn’t use air conditioning or heat so I don’t know if that works). The airplanes are about every two minutes and they’re pretty low. I don’t know how people live here, there are a few permanent residence in the area. It would drive me bananas, sitting outside, listening to airplanes that often. Otherwise, it’s near a Park, which we didn’t investigate at all. There’s a mode train museum nearby, but apparently all train museums in the Netherlands are permanently closed for some bizarre reason. I would say, just look carefully at what your needs are before you stay here.

The location is nice so the pictures might seduce you into booking it, but please consider the following first: - you are immediately charged in full for your upcoming stay - the property will keep 50% of your money should you decide to cancel less than 6 weeks in advance - after you book, you are informed that you have to pay extra if you want bed sheets and pillow cases; don't even think about towels, you won't get any (hidden costs!) - the property claims to alow pets for a surcharge; after I have booked it, I was asked to inform them within 24 hours if I want to bring a pet; I have replied within 1 hour, and then 3 days later they have told me they do not have a pet-friendly cabin for me, and refused a full refund; apparently only a small fraction of their cabins are pet-friendly, not all (misleading information!) - the whole area is very noisy as all planes landing on Schiphol are passing over it; furthermore, in a total disrespect for their customers, they ran the lawnmower at 14.40. - the cleaning can definitely be improved - I woke up with spider bites on my legs The bottom line: better find another place to stay!

Upon arrival the bathroom smelled extremely bad. After some research and opening the taps for a while, the air went away. So it was standing water that we smelled for a long time. You don't burden a tenant with that, but it should be part of the protocol after long-term vacancy. extremely many cobwebs inside and even worse, dust nests everywhere. The house was simply very poorly cleaned. Glasses were very dirty so we started with a full dishwasher and the table and chairs on the terrace are also too dirty to use. That is also why we decided not to sit outside. Positive: sufficiently spacious house, beautiful green and maintained park (but apparently not everywhere, something about contracts for green maintenance?), easily accessible by public transport

+ Beautiful park in a green setting. + Very idyllic, beautiful area. + Parking in front of the chalet. + Good distance from Amsterdam by car. - Arrived at 11:30 p.m., the barrier to our chalet was closed, couldn't open it despite having a card. Parked in the main car park, had to carry suitcases around to the chalet. Not ideal, rather annoying and illogical. - We had to leave our chalet the day before due to private matters. Unfortunately they didn't accommodate us on the day and had to pay, no cooperation from Europarcs. - No supermarket nearby. You are dependent on your car. - You couldn't use the restaurant for breakfast, this wasn't possible for chalet guests. We were prepared to pay even then, but it wasn't possible to have breakfast as there was no possibility of having breakfast nearby anyway, unfortunately incomprehensible. - Room for little ones in the chalet much too small. - Bed linen had to be paid for separately on site for 68 euros, should have been included in the price, no logic. - Bath towels weren't available and had to be paid for, annoying. - Unbearable non-stop aircraft noise ✈️👎👎👎👎👎

Negative: - dirty and grubby sofa - shower full of hair - mattress protector dirty and not clean - air conditioning unit only available for rent - extreme aircraft noise - unfriendly staff - ants, lots of them, in the kitchen - a used nail file was under the coffee table Positive - the weather The plan was that we wanted to come next year with friends. That will definitely not happen. The disappointment is great

Park itself is neat. Unfortunately the mini market and cafeteria are closed. This means you quickly have to drive about 8 kilometers for groceries. The location of the park is ideal because you can be in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zandvoort, Beverwijk or Zaandam within 20 minutes. The house was damaged in some areas. For example, a knob on the gas stove was missing, the tarpaulin on the floor had come loose at some points, resulting in sharp edges and the heating in the bedroom was hot even though the thermostat was set to 5 degrees.
