Location & Atmosphere Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Yelagiri Hills, the location of A.R. Thangakotai is absolutely stunning. The resort sits close to a temple, providing an unmatched view that exudes peace and spirituality. The atmosphere is calm, fresh, and serene – a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Reception & Check-in Experience From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth at the reception. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, making me feel instantly at home. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Parking & Accessibility One of the standout features is the massive valet car parking space. Finding a parking spot was effortless, and the entire area felt secure and well-maintained. This is a rare luxury in hill stations, and it adds to the overall convenience of the stay. Room Options & My Stay at the Pool Villa A.R. Thangakotai offers a variety of rooms, catering to different budgets and preferences. I opted for the individual pool villa, and it was an extraordinary experience! The villa was spacious, well-furnished, and private – with a beautiful pool just for me. Waking up to the scenic beauty right outside my villa was a delight. For those who prefer a different experience, the Temple View rooms offer a mesmerizing sight of the nearby temple, especially during sunrise and sunset. Unique Attractions & Experiences Antique Museum in the Temple – A hidden treasure within the premises, this museum boasts an impressive collection of temple antiques that reflect rich history and culture. 70 Feet Christmas Tree – This was a sight to behold! I’ve never seen such a massive Christmas tree anywhere else. It added a festive charm to the entire place. Kids’ Play Areas – With two large play areas for children, this resort is highly family-friendly. My kids loved the space and didn’t want to leave! Two Waterfalls – The sound of cascading water and the lush greenery around the falls made for a refreshing experience. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers. Pre-shoot Destination – Whether it’s a pre-wedding shoot or a creative video project, A.R. Thangakotai offers stunning backdrops. The gardens, antique structures, and waterfalls provide endless possibilities for photographers and videographers. Accessibility for Outsiders Even if you’re not staying at the resort, you can experience its beauty by paying a nominal fee. We had the pleasure of staying at A.R Thangakottai Resort in Yelagiri from November 2 to November 5, and it was an experience we will never forget! Myself family, my wife and our little one visited the resort to have a peaceful and memorable time during our kid's first birthday, but I must say that the resort made our celebration incredibly special. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. The resort’s location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of nature all around. We were lucky enough to have a cake cutting ceremony with a beautiful waterfall backdrop – a moment that added so much charm and tranquility to the occasion. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the candlelight dinner arranged by the team. It was thoughtfully organized, and the ambiance was perfect, creating an unforgettable dining experience for our family. The attention to detail and the care shown by the staff during our entire stay truly made us feel at home. Our stay at A.R Thangakottai Resort was not only about the celebrations but also about creating lasting memories in a serene and beautiful setting. The entire resort team deserves special mention for their impeccable service and hospitality and they will make you feel HOME, making this trip even more special for us. I have not mentioned anyone so far specifically but would like to address few who were exceptional ❤️❤️ Reception: Alarine, Muneer sir and Silambarasan Chief Chef: Gopalakrishnan sir and his assistant: Vinodh Services from: Chandrakant and Hazikul Others including Balaji sir, Arun murugan sir, Sasikumar sir, and one tall person (I forgot the name 😓) who were so exceptional hospitality and made us feel like home.. Chief chef who was so humble arrived in person to ensure our candle-light dinner was awesome and if they were able to satisfy our expectations, but it was beyond.. Finally, I must say the captain of ship - Mr. NANDAKUMAR (A) NANDU - Never seen this warmest hospitality and attention to a customer anywhere.. He ensured our happiness and satisfaction as a primary takeaway and delivered us the memorable experiences of our lifetime.. He made us to think that we shud celebrate 2nd bday as well there.. I said that the team made us feel like home but this person made us to feel like one of our family member, like a brother, he just wishes for our happiness during the stay there..
