Very clean and well equipped rooms with comfortable beds! Check in is easy using key box. Breakfast is very rich and the nice chef always fills up the buffet. A thick praise also for the strong coffee that even woke me up. Two more love dogs to knock and the many green around. We will surely come back!

My wife and I were very much looking forward to our stay at the Schlosshotel Steinburg, as it came highly recommended by our friends who had stayed there previously. But our stay started off poorly from the check-in. The person at the front desk was absolutely rude and unhelpful. From the moment we walked up to the desk, there was no greeting. Just a ”yes?” I commented that the GPS had brought us through an interesting path and if that was correct. And she replied, ”well you are here so it must be.” And it just kept going. I told her that it was our first time there and ask if she could tell me a little about the property and she told me that there was a QR code in the room that has all the information. That was just the check-in. Throughout our stay, the hotel staff did not seem to want to be there or had any intentions of making our stay welcoming. Never an offer to help with bags or any assistance familiarizing us with the property. I inquired about their spa facilities and again was referred to the QR code in the room. Also, I thought it was odd that when I called the front desk for an iron, I was informed that they did not provide one but they would iron for me. I thought this was nice but upon check-out, there was an ironing charge. It was not an outrageous amount but either provide an iron, like most hotels, or inform the customer of the charge. It just further reinforced my opinion that I was troubling them. But the meal we had at the restaurant was very good and our server was very professional and his wine selections were perfect. Would I go back? Probably not.

Warm and comfortable, clean and refreshing, it is a very satisfying hotel in Würzburg, Germany. Although the weather is cold, the room is very warm and dry, suitable for couples and families.

Very nice hotel, the family room is very large, and there is also free parking for the car. Breakfast is 8.50 euros/person for adults and 3 euros/person for children. There are also drinks vending machines downstairs. There are also two gas stations nearby. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the downtown area!

A really olde worldly building. A stones throw from the River Main. Situated in a wine village not far from Wuerzburg, in Bavaria. My room was of a good size & although it had a single bed, there was a mezzanine floor with a double bed in it. The staff were good & friendly & helpful. The breakfast was good & the evening meals well priced. Hotel well positioned for exploring this corner of Bavaria. The downside is the church bells ringing every 15 mins & the main road between the hotel & the river.

We stayed 5 nights here - visiting Wurtzburg for a wedding. I booked it originally because it had a pool ( a must have when travelling with an 11 year old!) The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The receptionists were friendly and helpful at all times. All the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. And the breakfasts were a delight - not just the range of food and helpful staff but the view of the castle and the sunny terrace. The pool was a decent size - changing rooms were very good…fresh flowers there a nice touch, My husband and I were delighted with this charming hotel. My son said his favourite part of our stay in wonderful Wurtzburg were ‘the breakfasts’ and ‘the pool’ !
