We stay at this hotel approx. 3 to 4 times a year when in Holland. Location in the center of the country and the car is parked under the hotel. so now freezing or snow in the winter, no ”oven” to step into in the summer. Rooms are the same, service is standard all the time, so you know what you get and it is value for money.

Ik was verrast door de aangename sfeer van de kamer en de rustige ligging van het hotel. Goede service aan de receptie en het restaurant had een goede menukaart en lekker eten. Op de kamer lag een brief met de mededeling dat als je langer bleef dan een dag en geen schoonmaak of nieuw handdoeken nodig had, dan je dat kon doorgeven aan de receptie. Meteen gedaan natuurlijk, niet vanwege de fles wijn of de koffie met gebak die me in het vooruitzicht was gesteld, maar omdat al dat gepoets vaak niet nodig is. De fles wijn trouwens nooit gekregen, maar ik vond het te Hollands om erom te vragen...

Personeel is vriendelijk en pakt snel door. Eten was heerlijk. Helaas ook wat min puntjes. De zaal is behoorlijk warm en kunnen geen ramen en deuren open vanwege geluidsoverlast. Er hangt wel een airco maar koelt helaas niet goed genoeg. Helaas kan het qua communicatie ook wat beter. Duidelijk aangegeven dat we vegetarisch vlees wilde voor 3 mensen bij onze bruiloft. Er zou bij onze bbq een apparte schaal met vegatarisch vlees komen. Dit Helaas niet gebeurd. Daarna na het aangegeven in mailing contact werd hier over gelogen, dat er gevraagd is aan de bewuste gasten of ze iets anders konden betekenen en dar er werd aangegeven dat het eten verrukkelijk was (door de personen die dus vega waren) na terug communiceren per mail dat dit dus niet waar is NOOIT meer wat gehoord!!!! Ooowja en het bed waar we onze huwelijksnacht moesten door brengen werd bij elkaar gehouden door een kratje onder het bed. Bed zakte al aardig door en vooral mijn man heeft verschikkelijk geslapen! Vooral jammer dat ze overal achteraf een excuus voor hadden. En o.a dus dingen die niet waar zijn! En daarna dus niet meer op je reageren als je hun nog mailt!

I had a terrible experience in this hotel at the end of August. Someone(s) broke into my room for 2 consecutive days with my door confirmed locked. The hotel didn't treat me seriously, they couldn't provide any convincing explanation or compensation. I went there for a business trip and had booked this hotel for 10 nights. The break in incident happened in the early morning 5:30am after my first sleep. I heard someone tried to open my door, but because I had locked it, so the intruder shaked the handle a few times, and eventually it did open!!! I went down and reported to the reception directly and asked if there was any CCTV. The staff said she didn't know...had to wait for her colleague to come back to answer me in the evening....by then i was told that there was no CCTV in this hotel...and they admitted it was one of their staff who broke into my room!!! I requested an explanation, the front desk only said it would not happen again. I requested to meet the duty manager, she said the manager would talk to me tomorrow....this is how they treated this security issue and code of conduct ”seriously”. Totally unacceptable. I could only go back to my room for the 2nd night. But then at 7:15am in the next morning, there was someone broke into my room again!! With a loud door closing sound, which i even more confirmed then the first time. The intruder went out as well before showing his/her face. It was unbelievable!!! I reported to the front desk again but they seemed not believe in me. Said it was not their staff this time and it was impossible to unlock the door with other cards. Long story short, it took me a whole day again in order to talk to the duty manager. And i personally showed her how to unlock my door using her card. She was finally speechless and arranged a new room for me. She said would investigate But I still could not receive a solid explanation in the next day and really felt unsafe. I was not able to sleep well and was super alert to different sounds. The next day the GM finally met me, but then still no compensation or with any gesture of apology. Didn't feel i was treated seriously so I decided to change the hotel for personal safety. They still charged me the fee for the 3 days. This was my worst hotel experience ever. Een superiour kamer geboekt voor een nacht inclusief ontbijt. Pluspunten: - grote douche - heerlijk (groot bed) - ontzettend goede verduisterende gordijnen - grote minibar/ koelkastje - vriendelijke ontvangst - over het algemeen een nette / schone kamer Minpunten: - klein balkon zonder meubilair (je betaalt extra voor het balkon, maar je kunt er eigenlijk geen gebruik van maken...) - slecht en traag werkende tv - kitranden douche vergeeld - ontbijt standaard - geen activiteiten in het hotel (bijv tafeltennis, biljart, darten etc). Voor €124 geen goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding en we zouden dit hotel daarom geen t****e keer boeken.

We stayed in one of the double rooms during a weekend in November. It was very quiet and relaxed. We had a very good diner on Friday-night. The breakfast-buffet was very good and service very friendly and helpful. We made some nice walks in the park that's part of the ”Landgoed de Horst”. We love to come again.
