Residenza Amblingh

The apartment Il Golfo was small but comfortable. The hosts & staff were accommodating and cheerful. The view from the window was beautiful as was the views from the breakfast terrace. The breakfast was in the main traditional Italian with fresh juice & coffee. Toast, fresh Ham, cheese & spreads were available as was cereal. The shower was a large walk in shower with good water pressure. Air conditioning was good for those hot days.

Interesting and somewhat quaint, the catedral room where we stayed had a very low ceiling and was tough to negóciate, the dinning room /breakfast spot was also very hot because it’s the top floor and the skylight is huge…breakfast basic according to American standards and the fruit was canned!!! What a pity, would give it a 7.5 over 10

This is a very difficult place to find, there are no signs indicating the right little alley in the maze of the old city. Fortunately, a neighbour showed me into the area. There is no parking, I parked in a municipal parking garage about a half mile away. The location is really quite lovely, the sea walk (Via Amblingh) is beautiful, a very nice place the walk. The room was uncomfortable, a small loft room with bathroom and awkward sitting area on the 'first floor' and the bedroom up a narrow steep stairs. I guess it uses a small space efficiently, but I found it uncomfortable. Breakfast was amazing, so many different items, especially so many different sweets, cakes, cookies, jams etc. Quite an abundance of desserts, but not many choices that were not sweet and rich. I'm glad I saw this section of Vasto, but I doubt I'd choose this hotel again because it is not convenient and hard to find

Just a wonderful stay in Vasto. Unbelievable room and view of Adriatic. We had difficulty finding the paid parking garage (20 Euros/day), correct exit from it, and landmarks provided by hotel in the reservation. Called the staff and were met outside garage and walked to hotel. Well worth the small consternation. Room beautiful. Great location. Great staff. Highly highly recommended.

We were attending a first communion and our family here suggested we stay at this wonderful Residenza and they were 100% correct…this lovely property in this beautiful town was so special we will be back as soon as possible…everything from our first communique to checkout was fantastico…the property, our room, the views, the friendly and caring staff and the breakfast was the best ! This place is very special and Grazie to the staff and the owners who we had the pleasure to meet also…

This is an enchanting place to stay in Vasto overlooking the Adriatic Sea next to the museum in the ancient town. The residence is beautifully renovated. Bedding is so comfy. Breakfast is wonderful. Location is idyllic. The staff there are awesome. Francesco was incredibly helpful to us answering all of our questions prior to booking and then welcoming us with such kindness and professionalism. It was our first trip to Italy. We loved this place and all the restaurants nearby in the beautiful town so steeped in history. The Palazzo d’Avalos museum was next door and so worthwhile to visit. Staff were so kind to us. A special thank you also to our driver from Taxi Nicola who got us to the train station on time. Thank you! And thanks to Francesco once again for helping. A wonderful and unforgettable visit! A bench in the little garden so we could sit outside would’ve been even more amazing.
