Location - Fabulous located on Darbhanga ghat on the banks of river Ganga. Close to Dashwamedha ghat where the Ganga Aarti happens. Approach - 4 approaches the toughest one being from the Darbhanga Ghat easiest being from Madanpura Hotel - belongs to the Dwivedi Hotels group of 4 hotels. Can’t say much of the other hotels. Room - Saptarshi Suite is the best due to it location facing the Ganga. Small balcony good to stand and view the Ganga Cleanliness- is decent can’t expect much in smaller hotels like this one Reception - Ajay Vicky very proactive and helpful. Food - THE WORST cook with attitude here. Please avoid meals better to eat dry snacks as food is tasteless. Basic breakfast boiled egg bread butter jam toast fruits cornflake and milk served daily. Only Indian items change. Eggs on order aren’t possible and the cook has no clue to make omelette so pls don’t order. Ketchup is poured to make omelette, fried rice and at times the cook cheats on by scrapping boiled egg as omelette. Please change your cook and his attitude. Plug points - please change the same. One can only charge 1 mobile. Only one point near the bed. Other 2 points are at a height so one needs to carry long cables. The kettle given doesn’t reach any other point except one next to the bed. So massive juggling required. Quilt- suggest hotel to go ECO friendly to avoid change of bed sheets/ quilts and towels instead of having torn ones.

This is a hotel that impressed us during our trip to India. The service was very attentive, although it only lasted for one night. We went to TAKE A BOATRUDE FOR CEREMONY at 5:15 in the morning. The hotel arranged a boatman and waiter on time to guide us on the boat, and prepared the blanket very thoughtfully. It is hard to imagine how cold we would be without the blanket. Then we went to breakfast. A waiter provided us with services. Usually they started the meal at 7 am, but because we left the hotel at 7 am, they prepared some hot meals in advance, and they were very warm. Then on time, the boatman and PORTER took us on board and went to Baiqiao to meet our driver. They didn't leave until they put the boxes in the car. The key point came, the driver whispered, the hotel front desk started to call him at 5 o'clock in the morning, and constantly reminded him that he must wait for us early, for fear that we were delayed or could not find him. In fact, we didn't tell the hotel in advance, we needed them to remind the driver and so on. We just told the front desk that we were departing at 10 o'clock and we needed to depart from the hotel at 7 o'clock. Makes the hotel more nervous than us, afraid of being late and so on. The meticulous and perfect service exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this hotel, BRIRAMA PALACE VARANASI, WONDERFUL HOTEL!

If you want to stay near dashashwamedh ghat, this guest house is good choice. But a little far from the market & mandir. Out of 5, i would give: location: 4, room cleanliness: 3. 5, service: 2. Good points: we checked in at night 2:30am (with full day booking of course, but no issues for room getting. Also, they allow us to put our trolley and other baggage after check-out time. Bad points: one bedroom, out of 3 room bookings, was given as two separate beds though we see the bed type written in booking was double bed. Also, they refused to do the room service everyday. They did for every alternate day. Another frustrating point is: every time you came from outside you need to ask the service team to switch on the air conditioner from their backend. Then only you can switch on from your room remote. Also, every day they miss at-least one room to provide the complementary water bottles. They provided the water bottles after asking only.

It's location on the Ganga (Meer Ghat) is very useful for those seeking the peace of the river. It's also very close to Gate No 2 for a relatively fast darshan of Kashi Vishweshwar Temple complex. The view of the Ganga from the hotel is great. In addition, there are a few rooms with a direct view of the river. Our room was comfortable, and clean, the bed was cozy, the amenities were adequate. The welcome desk and the staff was responsive and helpful. We asked for and got a hot water kettle too. While the ghat is highly accessible, you will need to walk to it from the Godolia Chowk, about 300 meters away, where the cab drops you. Be mindful of this, if you have a lot of luggage. Overall a nice place, highly recommended.

Located on the edge of the Ganges River, the hotel has its own roof terrace, very close to the Dasawamedo River and the staff is friendly. But I don't know why the quilt is soft, it seems to be a little damp, or is it not a change?

Don’t expect a palace. It’s a heritage property converted into a safe, clean hotel with great service and very helpful staff. The rooftop restaurant is an absolute delight. They served fresh food with amazing views of the river, customised for my food allergies. For check-in and check-out you’ll need help to be guided through the narrow lanes on foot. Once you’re checked-in the access to boat rides, ghats, and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir is superb - all walkable. The staircase is steep for ailing or older people with knee problems. There is no lift. The staff was kind to provide local guidance. They also provide lots of tour options. As a female solo traveler, safety for my primary concern but they took very good care of that. I felt completely safe and secure. Of course, one must maintain decorum according to the sanctity of the city and its culture. They don’t have parking space but there is a public parking space a few mins away if needed.
