My boyfriend and I had a great time at Teguise Beach Resort in August. The beach is beautiful and the staff is friendly and very funny. The hotel has many games arranged throughout the day where you can win prizes. Performers (like Alejandro) keep all guests engaged. The food wasn't the greatest, but our waiter Reiner was great and went out of his way to provide us with excellent service. There is always something at the buffet that will please you. The breakfast here is great, homemade crepes and omelets every day. At lunch, you sometimes have to queue to get into the dining room because there aren't enough staff to clear the tables quickly. At this time, I suggest you head to the snack bar, which has delicious burgers, hot dogs, and fries. There is a small salad bar here as well. If you want to make a reservation in advance at the A La Carte (a la carte) restaurant, please reserve your seat before 9 o'clock. At 9:30, the staff will confirm your reservation. The bartender is friendly and the service is efficient. Our favorite wine is Yadel. The evening show was on time, very entertaining, and everything ended at 10:30. Our room was great but not very clean, the bathroom had no privacy and the shower had no hot water. I recommend everyone to stay in recently renovated rooms. These rooms are more consistent with the pictures on the website and can produce hot water normally. However, we still had a great time. I do not recommend this resort if you want great service. This is more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star hotel. Still, it's still possible to have a great time here when you're in Cuba because the people are great. Tip: Exchange some 5 peso notes to use on the sightseeing bus into the city, and then exchange other foreign currencies at a bank where the exchange rate is not too outrageous.
