Maison de la Garenne is top to bottom the best B&B in Vannes. The location is ideal, a short walk to the old walled city. Accommodations and breakfasts are excellent. And, perhaps most important, the hosts are especially knowledgeable, gracious, and helpful in selecting restaurants and sites to visit. Weather did not permit us to take advantage of the pool and beautiful grounds. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel/guest house personally operated by the hospitable owners. Maison de la Garenne is centrally located, offers wholesome breakfast, and my lovely room was clean and bright on the 2nd floor. I walked 20 minutes directly from the train station to the hotel and a 5 minute walk into the center of the village. I would be delighted to come back.

Excellent location, walking distance to all of Vannes’ restaurants and attractions. I stayed in the Red Sail Room, which has a private yard area. It’s super Clean, bright, with a huge bathtub and amenities. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and owner Christine was warm and eager to take egg orders. Christine and her husband Antoine were available to provide recommendations of restaurants and help find a gas station or taxi to the train station. I thoroughly enjoyed my weeklong stay and would love to go back.

I would give the location 5 stars because it is so closed to the old town. Just a walk down the stairs and across the street to get to the entrance of the walled old town. There are no hotels inside the walled old town so this is why we chose the Maison de la Garenne. The host and breakfast staff were very nice. The room we had upstairs was large and had a very large bathroom. The pool was closed up (we weren't planning to use it) but grounds did not look as beautiful as the website photo. I understand it was the time of the year. I found the common room and grounds looked more like a daycare center during our visit. We loved Vannes and the walled old fort is beautiful. Please make sure you visit their large Farmers Market if you are here on a Wed or Sat. It was one of the best farmers market I have been to in France.

The maison was very clean, nice rooms with all the amenities. Breakfast was delicious with fresh bread and croissants from the local bakery. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall the accommodations were extremely comfortable, a great experience.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Maison de la Garenne. The house is beautiful and well cared for, with a lovely pool. We had a second floor room with sitting room, bathroom and bedroom overlooking the back of the property. The space was luxurious, as our other European stays had only small rooms. The hostess was friendly and accommodating and provided a lovely breakfast each morning at a time we could choose. The walk to the village was short, so convenient to all, including the boats to cruise the nearby waters. I would absolutely return to this lodging.

This chambre d'hote has a great location in Vannes. The owners could not be nicer but also gave us our privacy. It is lovely and we would definitely stay there again. The room was comfortable. It has a nice garden with a pool.

Très belle propriété au cœur de Vannes les chambres sont très confortables avec une petite piscine très agréable . Le petit déjeuner est excellent vraiment je recommande. Le plus c est vraiment que l on est au centre de Vannes et en même temps à la campagne Belle découverte
