I book 4 and 5 Star hotels, cruises, land tours and more, but found when I go on a cruise to Alaska and starting my cruise in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada l like hanging out downtown Vancouver. Vancouver is beautiful, lots to do, and Cambie Hostel Gastown is close to the cruise port (walking distance, with 1 rolling luggage, about 5 blocks), safe, with great bars and restaurants. If you take Greyhound, the bus station is a block from the rail (2 bucks for seniors, I am 65), go north towards Cambie Hostel Gastown, at stop walk about 5-6 blocks (or take taxi). Once you are there, make sure your credit card was cleared with bank (call ahead and let them know you are traveling abroad, if required), pay, get keys, drop bags in room, then go out and enjoy all that Vancouver has to offer. Cambie Hostel is attached to a bar, party on, with young travelers from all around the world, so enjoy interacting with them during your stay. I am going back in 3 wks for another Alaska cruise. Hotel location is super perfect which nearby the centre point of Vancouver, many restaurants surround hotel especially Korean food, and we stay in penthouse floor which can look at the north side of Vancouver and hills. By the way no special facilities and service here and some of furnitures in room are getting old and not plenty clean although they charge me cleaning fee before check-in

It's very convenient to book this hotel in Vancouver. It's next to the University Center. Next to this hotel is Leap Canada attractions. It's really good to stay in this hotel for the second time

We came to The Burrard for a hospital procedure. The staff were so welcoming and thoughtful. Beautiful and clean rooms with an adorable courtyard. On my way back to the room, the staff also brought us water and made sure we were comfortable! You just don’t get service like this anymore!

A family of three, set a suite. The hotel is located on Gay Street and the bar is downstairs. If you are afraid of noise, you can have a high-rise floor. This price is good in this position! Parking must first have a card at the hotel, turn right at the entrance of the door, then turn right to see the white sign in, you can enter and exit 24 hours a day without limit. We started to go to Jasper by car at 5:30 the next morning, so we chose the parking at the back of the hotel. We parked the car and chose the package that was closed at 6 am the next day. This time at Ctrip.com, this hotel first encountered the problem of Ctrip's promotion of Chinese services and found that there was no Chinese service at all. After communicating with Ctrip, it helped to provide a temporary solution. I did not expect that there was another unpleasant episode during the check-out at the hotel. After the check-in, the front desk did not take the initiative to give me an accommodation bill. To be honest, I did n’t remember to ask, or another guest found that his bill was wrong. It was there that I remembered that I should also take a look at my bill. As a result, there was an error in printing, and I charged 44.47 more for parking. I felt wrong even though my English was not good. They immediately took back the bill and tore it off. They recalculated and printed it out, and then came back. They only returned me 35 yuan and asked why it was not returned in full. Then the front desk tore the bill back again. Then recalculate and print it out correctly. I was very unhappy with their inattentive service. The end result was that they wrote this small note to me, and apologized and explained it. To be honest, I apologize for their apology. I really regret it. I booked this hotel on Ctrip. Ctrip introduced that there is Chinese service. In fact, they did not provide any Chinese service at all. The latter mistake led me to this so-called five-star Wedgewood leisure hotel with ancient European tradition Wedgewood Hotel feels very bad, this is the only regret in my Canadian trip [naughty]

The community environment and decoration are good, the facilities are new and clean, and fruits are provided. However, you need a car to travel, and the transportation is inconvenient. The room does not have a separate door lock. Those who want to experience the house can choose it. I went to play after getting off the plane. I didn't communicate much with the landlord. Since I only stayed for one night and left early the next morning, the landlord needed to collect a cleaning fee of 60 dollars that night, so I came before 10 pm to put my luggage and pay the cleaning fee, and then went out to visit the night market. The price for a single night is not cheap. If you have a chance, you should stay a little longer to experience it. The house is luxurious. Apart from the house, the landlord reminded me to change slippers and wipe the wheels of the suitcase when entering the door, and if the room is too small, the suitcase can be put in the hall for sorting, which is very Chinese-style. . . I can understand it, but it really makes people have to be cautious. The suitcase dare not touch the floor. I feel like I am here for a visit. In this regard, since the house is a homestay, either the cleaning fee should be included in the price, or it should be relaxed and cleaned after checking out. If you want to live more relaxed, you have to rent a white homestay.

The position is wonderful. You can easily get the access to Canada line and go anywhere; last but not least, the airport is just nearby. The service is also great. Nice hotel to give a try.

You could tell immediately how the hotel has been fairly new! Our family stayed for 2 nights and it was quite comfy. Not sure if there was anything we disliked. Just a couple of points: Restaurant option: Match Eatery & Public house And The Buffet We had a high expectation of the Buffet. Ah… so shame… Not worth paying so much. Trust me. Avoid the place. Internet: Connection is very strong; however, keep in mind that it is UNSECURED public connection. There was someone trying to access my personal email. Very fortunately, I had my email account secured with two way authentication. Do consider… to protect yourself by setting up the 2 way authentication… etc. Lastly, Swimming pool wasn’t ready to be opened until April.

(My name is anonymized to protect my identity for this review) This review was delayed due to an ongoing police investigation about our stay here in the Versante Hotel. My wife and I booked our stay at the Versante hotel, originally from Monday, August 29th until Saturday, August 3rd. We booked the penthouse suite on the 14th floor and loved it so much that we cancelled our reservations at the Fairmont hotel, just so we can extend our stay before we go to the airport for our family trip on the 6th. What we thought was going to be one of the most relaxing stays through our hotel experience quickly turned into a nightmare at the Versante hotel. It was a betrayal of trust from the Versante hotel staff and what Versante portrayed their company’s values to be. I would like to mention there were a few notable staff members that were exceptional and compassionate, and it’s a shame that this experience would reflect poorly on the hard working individuals who really tried to make our stay memorable. What had occurred in your hotel with the staff members that you hired to take care of your guests was unbelievably heartbreaking and I do not wish for anyone to go through what my wife and I had to witness.  On Tuesday, August 30th we booked for a hot stone massage at Spa Versante and confirmed our booking for a shuttle the next day at 3:45PM. Manager Yasin was the one who had confirmed our shuttle booking for the spa the next day at 3:45PM. On Wednesday, August 31st at 315PM we received a call from our hotel room (1404) from Nini, the front desk receptionist. Nini asked to confirm if we had booked a shuttle for 330PM. We then told her it was confirmed for 345PM. She said OK and we hung up. At 345PM my wife went downstairs to meet the shuttle that we had booked the day before for my wife’s spa appointment. There was no shuttle. My wife asked the Valet who was there and he asked her for her name and said it was not ticketed. He then took my wife to the receptionist who was working at the front, named Nini, and asked about the shuttle booking. My wife informed her about her appointment at the spa and shuttle booking, which should have made it obvious to Nini that the booking was for the Versante Spa further away. Nini then told her there was no shuttle that goes to the spa and it only goes to YVR. Ultimately, Nini said my wife wasn’t booked for a shuttle. When my wife told her we had received a phone call from her (at 315PM) to confirm our shuttle, Nini had denied making any calls to our room. Nini then told my wife there wasn’t a shuttle coming and pointed at the door and told her to walk. Nini did not provide any help or resolution, she had dismissed my wife’s needs as a guest and failed to provide her with adequate information for her confirmed bookings at Versante Spa. It was only two girls working, Nini and Monica at front desk. Upon speaking in person with Nini, my wife recognized her voice on the phone. She had denied ever calling my room to confir
