What a magical place, it is definitely worth to stay there for at least 2 days to take advantage of the options they offer. The walk to the waterfalls is very good, don't miss it. The guys in the front desk help me out getting diesel for my vehicle because I felt I was going to need a little extra to make it to the gas station, they really go the extra mile if there is anything you need. He also help us find a spot for breakfast since we didn't have enough time to book due to our late arrival.

We loved our stay. The resort was amazing. We loved the restaurants, the hiking, the bar, the gardens. Everything about it was amazing and we hope to return again soon. The waterfall hike was beautiful and worth the effort. Same with the other tails. Make sure to visit the hummingbird garden and the veggie garden.

What a wonderful find. We stayed here on a whim at the last minute and ended up extending our stay for the entire week. Nothing more relaxing than being right in it — in luxurious, eco-sustainable private bungalows — hidden away in your own little section of rainforest. Chickens are free ranged on site, food is sourced from on-site gardens, and the nature trails are fantastic. We will stay here again. True R&R.

Lovely and spacious villas and rooms (though it’s time for a decor update) - riverside villas are especially nice. Fine restaurant with excellent service - lamb rack with gran padano ravioli a particular hit. Pretty, laid-back open-air spa with a well-trained team. Notably high quality personal service. Very pleasant horseback ride on the property- the horses are smaller Costa Rica’s breeds. Once you arrive, no need to leave - but there are some nice attractions nearby for pre- or post-visit. Concerned to hear that the owner may have expansion plans - we recommend that you enjoy it now while it is low-key and very comfortably sized.

The lodge and grounds are lovely. Unfortunately the billing practices are extremely shady. At the end of our stay they refused to give us an itemized receipt for charges & lied about refunding certain things. I'm still trying to get them to itemize a $1400 bill, which was two days of food and transport. We had no spa or extra tours. If you choose to stay here, I would recommend being very cautious about what you order, keep a journal and let them know in advance you will expect the bill to be clear and itemized on checkout.

The resort sits on a beautiful property in the cloud forest. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were amazing. We loved the hummingbird garden and hiking to the waterfalls. Highly recommend this little hidden gem!

Good bird spotting. Jose was an excellent guide. He spent nearly two hours with us. His enthusiasm was infectious. We saw hawks, a toucan and many others.He had a good sense of humor and was fun! I highly recommend this tour in a stunning setting.

what a lovely place! fancy but the service was wonderful (thanks to Mike Alejandro and all the dining staff) and everyone there was so sweet. our room had a nice hot tub which heated up in 30 minutes which we loved. we sat outside for every meal and loved the roar of the river. it rained all day on our drive there so the water level was high. planned to do fly fishing but water level too high on the rocks so we hiked to the waterfalls instead. great well marked hike. had a good tour and archery (a blast) with Jose Miguel who did a great job. enjoyed the food and loved the hot chocolate and cookies. our cart driver Julio was a real kick and gave us a tour around. loved the place!!

The resort is amazing and staff wonderful. Make sure you take the hike on site to the 3 waterfalls - suggest guided as better experience. We went in rainy season and was fine, waterproof footwear is a good idea. We swam in the very cold falls at the top. Love the place and fresh food! We had lodge 16, the best and private yet still close to everything.
