Lovely, tranquil, comfortable and peaceful accommodation, ideally located to explore the Vaucluse area. Super kind, interesting and welcoming hosts who do their utmost to give guests a great stay. Surrounded by vines, there are ample places and lots of space to relax in without being on top of other guests. The chateau is beautifully restored with modern comforts and stylish interiors. We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the pool and the vines. The two doubles next to our, each looking out on the vines, looked equally comfortable and suitably spacious. Eugenie's meals were delicious and excellent value. The nearby town offers useful amenities and other options for meals. We visited at the start of the grape harvest and despite being busy Benoit spared time to talk to us about their wine production.

Incredible Valréas Stay
Loved our stay at Chateau Montplaisir! Our hosts were incredible friendly and the chateau is gorgeous, feeling like you’re walking into a piece of history. They recommended a beautiful walk for us to go on our first day. Our stay included delicious breakfasts served on their patio overlooking the pool and views of Valreas including fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed OJ, homemade jams and yogurt, croissants and baguette. Delicious tea and coffee as well! Additionally we had a wine tasting with Benoit who along with hosting us is the wine maker. All the wines we tasted were delicious and so we opted to buy a few bottles along with the homemade jams. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Chateau Montplaisir and want to go back!

Je me suis rendu au Château de Montplaisir en septembre et je dois avouer que j’ai été incroyablement surpris, dans le meilleur sens du terme. Dès mon arrivée, j’ai été accueilli avec une chaleur et une attention rares, ce qui m’a immédiatement fait sentir privilégié et parfaitement à l’aise. Le lieu est absolument splendide : un cadre à la fois majestueux et empreint de sérénité, où chaque détail est pensé pour offrir confort et raffinement. Les chambres allient élégance et authenticité, et les espaces communs invitent à la détente comme à la découverte. Mais ce qui rend l’expérience véritablement inoubliable, c’est la qualité de l’accueil. On se sent non pas comme un simple visiteur, mais comme un invité choyé. La générosité, la disponibilité et la bienveillance de toute l’équipe m’ont profondément marqué. Je repars ravi et reconnaissant d’avoir eu la chance de vivre un tel moment. Le Château de Montplaisir est sans conteste une adresse d’exception que je recommande de tout cœur à quiconque souhaite s’offrir une expérience unique, alliant charme, hospitalité et authenticité. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. De kamer was mooi en ruim opgezet. Badkamer ook luxe. De eigenaar is ook wijnmaker en neemt je graag mee in zijn passie dmv een wijnproeverij. Ook het ontbijt, dat geserveerd werd bij het zwembad, was heerlijk.

Un petit château très confortable
Excellent séjour. Chambre très bien chauffée. Excellent accueil. Il faisait trop froid pour essayer la piscine mais le site donnait envie.

Privatisation à l'occasion d'un baptême. Accueil chaleureux et convivial d'Eugénie et Benoît, propriétaires du château. Chambres très confortables et spacieuses. Table d'hôtes de grande qualité gustative. Le silence des lieux, le fleurissement du parc et l'attrait de la piscine contribuent à un séjour d'un agrément exceptionnel. Les invités ont apprécié unanimement ce moment festif. Un grand merci à Eugénie et Benoît pour ce week-end inoubliable.
