Overall we had a really nice stay at Casa Vander. Location was great in terms of walkability, as it is super central and very close to great restaurants and right behind one of the many funiculars in the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions, and the included breakfast was simple but delicious. The only drawback to the location was that because it's so central, it gets very loud in the weekends with people partying below. The hotel itself is old and very charming but it could use some fixes and upgrades. The bathroom door didn't close properly, for example, and it's just a few feet from the bed, so not ideal. Still, had a great time though, so unless you're looking for a 5-star hotel, I would recommend this as a great funky place to spend a few days.

Great location (Cerro Alegre), wonderful vibe, very bohemian. Staff was superb and extremely attentive. Great homemade breakfast included in the stay. Great views from the 3rd-floor balcony. Some pant and freshening up and it's a 5! (Actually, our stay was more like a 4.5)

Excellent spot in Central Valparaiso; a "hilly" place where you need to be in shape. Casa Vander is a colonial vintage house constructed in the 1800's and later converted into an rBNB. Excellent and kind service by the Administrator Fernando and the Waitress Myriam (great people). Food is delicious. Nextdoor there is a cable car where you can reach lower levels of the town. Highly recommended!

La ubicación espectacular y vista desde la habitación maravillosa, la cama muy cómoda y amplia, solo extrañamos algún sistema de ventilación y el frigobar. La atención de los anfitriones muy amable y siempre disponibles. El desayuno completo y diligentemente servido. Apreciamos un entorno seguro y con muchas actividades diurnas y nocturnas, a pocos pasos excelentes bares y restaurantes. Los felicitamos por el esfuerzo por conservar la casona y darle vida con este hotel, sería maravilloso que pudieran mejorar detalles de la decoración, mobiliario y soluciones de terminaciones, las que sumarían mucho a la restauración del edificio y a la experiencia de la estadía.

Muy ruidoso el lugar. Al estar al lado del callejon Dimalow, hay gente tomando cerveza toda la madrugada, y se escucha como si fuera en la habitación. El personal muy amable si, y el desayuno bueno, pero lo del ruido hacia intolerable dormir en las noches

Ubicación excelente, las instalaciones limpias, cómodas, el personal muy amble y atento a todas las necesidades incluso para conversar de la vida, baño con tina de hidromasaje exquisita. Desayuno rico y contundente. Algo de ruido desde la calle pero esparte del panorama de Valpo.

Comenzando por una acogedora recepcion desde la persona que nos recibió hasta la agradable atencion que nos brindó la persona en el desayuno. Agregar que fuimos para celebrar nuestro aniversario y tuvieron un bonito detallito para nosotros. Habitacion comoda con una vista hermosa hacia el mar. Facil conexion con la locomocion de lugar y a pasos del hermoso ascensor victoria. En resumen una muy agradable experiencia de principio a fin, definitivamente recomiendo el lugar.
