We travelled from Lyon by train and 2 buses. It took time to get here but it was worth it when we discovered this gem. We stayed in one of the huts that has a view of the river and cliffs. A dip in the river was refreshing and relaxing. We ordered a bottle of wine from the owners’ vineyard that we picked up in a bucket with ice and enjoyed on our terrace. We ordered the a la cart meal with several choices for each course and ate it on our terrace. It was delicious and beautifully presented in boxes. We had enough left over for our lunch the next day. We slept well and woke up to the sound of birds. We rented a canoe from the owners and paddled down the river for a couple of hours. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

We all loved this place and our rooms were really nice, clean, comfortable, nice balconies with great views. I did think the area did look tired and needed a good tidy up and perhaps some attention paid to the actual landscaping on site. However, the views from our rooms were stunning and, after the day trippers had gone, all was quiet and tranquil. Dinner was excellent, one of the best we had on this trip. Breakfast was absolutely fine but, unusually, was served in a tray at the breakfast table, croissants were in paper bags and juice was served in your own carafe! I don't understand why they serve english jam and juice though. Staff were very helpful and between their attempt at engish and my attempt at french, we managed! This is definitely on our list to visit again.

The location is outstanding and very special. The concept is excellent. The cabins are looking tired and the wooden floor to our outside shower was rotten. One chap was outstanding service wise and welcome wise but that was not replicated by others including at reception. It feels expensive for somewhere that is poorly maintained but with some TLC has the potential to be amazing.

Prehistoric lodge... nothing prehistoric about this place. After visiting the rooms in the main building. (Small and very badly decorated). We stayed one night in a tent. The tents have been probably nice years ago; but the roof was mouldy on the inside. Very basic interior… toilet hidden behind a wooden separation wall. Hot water is very limited (small boiler) Too much money to stay in such a place. Also, the breakfast was a disappointment. There are 2 options, the small one and the larger one. The small one consists of a croissant a juice and a hot drink… not really as it was described when ordering. The location of this “lodge” is good, nice view on the river. That’s all positive I can say about this place. Maybe “campers” will like it… but it’s too expensive probably because of the location.

Extraordinary location looking at limestone cliffs and the river just past the Pont d ‘ Arc. Our room in the lodge had a large balcony. On the other hand, the room was small and somewhat spartan. Breakfast was pretty basic. I would still recommend for the remarkable opportunity close to nature in a hotel, not a tent.

Great location at river side. Paradise for our golden retriever. Spacious room, bedding ok. The staff could be more helpful, We made a reservation for dinner, but when we arrived at the restaurant, they didn’t find our reservation, so we received a dinner box to eat in our tent, this was very uncomfortable. We had the feeling that the staff tired, and careless

So good last year we returned! The lodges are excellent. Complete relaxing atmosphere amongst stunning scenery. The food is superb and we canoed both years and it is a slick and efficient service. Staff are very friendly and the beach truck and sun shade areas are very welcoming
