Villa le Port d'Attache

My husband and I stayed at Villa Le Port d'Attache recently and had a wonderful time. The hosts were most gracious. The breakfasts were amazing with so many selections. The room was beautiful and comfortable, not to mention the amazing view from the top of the hill.

Absolutely Stunning! Views were simply breathtaking! The Villa was situated along the end of a private driveway, through secure gates. The Villa was simply beautiful and the hosts Gillian & Daniel were fabulous! They couldn't do enough for you, so incredibly accommodating. Gillian was always on hand to offer advice on where to visit and eat, recommending some lively places, never disappointed. My husband is Vegan and Gillian had no prior knowledge if this but made him special puddings every morning and their breakfast is super plentiful, the best on our stay throughout France! Daniels omelette was fabulous! We can not recommend this property & it’s perfect hosts enough, you will most definitely not be disappointed!

We stayed at Villa Port d’attache B&B for 8 days during the Cannes Film Festival. We could not have been more pleased. The villa is about 10 minutes outside Cannes, so you need a car. The drive through the hills seems at first overwhelming, but we quickly were zipping up and down the hill and delighting at the distance and seclusion it offered us from the bustle of the Festival. The villa nestled high on the hill delivers spectacular views of the valley below, all the way to the ocean and to the mountains that separate France and Italy. On a clear day you see all the way to the Alps. Trees, flowers, chirping birds, roosters in the distance, you feel as though you are in a remote paradise, yet you are just a few minutes from it all. We slept each night with the windows thrown open to the night sky and glimmer of lights in the towns below. There were other guests, but honestly, the impression is that you have the whole place to yourself. We started each day with breakfast on a garden patio overlooking this wonderful view, or on the balcony patio off the living room every bit as inviting. The owners Gillian and her husband served variations of fresh fruit and cheeses, croissants and baguette, yogurt and new baked deserts from recipes that Gillian delighted in sharing with us. Gillian and her husband are gracious hosts, enthusiastically sending us off to dinner each night for world class meals in ancient mountaintop strongholds, where the wine flowed and you could almost hear the footsteps of those who walked there a thousand years ago. When we needed help to get our COVID test on a Sunday, Gillian found the only open pharmacy, and arranged for our test. The rooms are charming and handsomely designed and appointed, modern, but comfortable, impeccably clean. Her warm personality is beautifully expressed in every detail in the room from fixtures to art, every need is anticipated. This is a first-class B&B that runs like a Swiss watch, everything clean and bright, the gardens groomed and inviting. My wife and I have traveled many places in the world, but this is one has left an indelible imprint on us, and to which we will return.

I hesitate to write this startling review because I want to make sure that I can stay here everytime I return to the Riviera... I want to make sure there is a room available. This place is magnificent with views that take your breath away. The villa is tucked up in the hills of the Riviera overlooking the mediterranean sea. A cool breeze blows through the windows day-and-night. The property is impeccable both inside and out. There is a pool and everything you need for your comfort. The owners are delightful, extremely knowledgeable regarding the area and helpful. The beaches, restaurants and sites are just a short drive from the villa. I can't wait to return.

Enjoy the trappings of millionaire villa living without the annual cost… Honeysuckle aromas, evening frog chorus in May requires no other entertainment, multiple terraces, pool. Fabulous host who made us really welcome and was attentive without being overbearing … felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Fantastic breakfast with full selection of bread, cheese, charcuterie, boiled egg, muesli and yoghurt with stunning views set us up for the chill out by the pool. Simply gorgeous!
