Casa Hipil is a simple hotel situated in the center of Valladolid and is the sister hotel of Aurora where you have to walk to for breakfast in the morning (3min). Staff was friendly and helpful giving us ideas of what to visit in the area and where to go to eat. We had a family room which was clean and spacious with a king size bed and a bunk bed for the kids. One thing to note is that the bunk bed is quite high and with little protection so not fit for smaller children. Hotel is quite noisy as in the middle of town and the walls are not really soundproof. Overall the hotel is cute and feels more like a BnB then a hotel. The small swimming pool gives the garden a nice touch. They have a carpark which was useful.

Excellent hotel for the price. Would highly recommend. The front desk goes above and beyond to help out. The court yard is very cute with a nice small pool. Also, wonderful location.

When I got there, I was handed the keys to my room after paying and soon realised that my room was right next to reception and there is absolutely NO sound insulation at all. Might as well have been an open space. So the sound of keyboards being typed on, people checking in and out, the receptionist chatting away with other staff members until late at night, is what you will need to sleep through. When asked to change rooms, this was seen as an upgrade and therefore chargeable. I just booked a night in a hotel to sleep and didn't know that this luxury would cost me extra!? I asked if I could cancel my two nights but no refunds at all at this hotel. I stayed here one night and left for somewhere else. They can keep the money, bunch of thieves.

Casa Hipil is wonderful! We only had one night here and I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is beautiful and our room was huge with a terrace overlooking the lovely courtyard with a pool. Super clean, friendly staff, and just a few minutes walk to the main square. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Valladolid!

Disaster. Needed to shorten our stay at Casa Hipil. Arrived at check-in, and manager or owner Sr. Luna played a little game on us, saying any changes had to be made with ***********. For the next two hours, *********** said the change was fine with them, but they needed "approval." First Sr. Luna pretended not to speak English with ***********. Then he said he would accept no changes. By the time *********** got back to us, we had observed how Sr. Luna was making us dance with *********** to put the blame on the agency. We decided to pay a one night penalty for cancellation, walked across the street and took a wonderful room at Hotel Fundadores for half the price of Casa Hipil. Despite Booking.com's assurance that Casa Hipil would only charge us the one night penalty, Casa Hipil went ahead and charged us for five nights. We never set foot in a room at Casa Hipil and are now going through the headache of getting our bank to remove the charge.

The hotel has a great location, you can walk to the main square and restaurants. They also have parking, which is quite difficult in Valladolid. The room was a little outdated but we didn’t mind as we spent very little time in the hotel. The hotel has multiple public areas to hang out.

My husband and I stayed at the Casa Hipil in Feb 2022 and it was a great vacation. The staff was so helpful and kind, they answered all our questions. The room was quiet and comfortable and it is in a perfect location right downtown. Valladolid is a beautiful city and it was easy to explore while staying at Casa Hipil.
