Capsule Inn Valencia Hostel Reviews

Location is good. 5 minutes away from the high-speed train station and around 10-15 minutes to the city centre on foot. Clean IKEA style decoration. Bicycles available for rent. It was impossible to sleep during my stay. The capsules have zero noise or light insulation. People come and go at all hours so there’s constant noise and switching on and off of lights. The capsules are stuck one on top of the other so any movement is felt on all of them. There are lights inside the capsule that you can’t switch off and ventilation is minimal. You are not allowed to keep your belongings in the capsule. Everything needs to fit in a locker in a different room. WiFi service was spotty at best (not possible to use streaming services) and if you need to have your luggage held before or after check in/out you are charged for it. Cheap price but not worth the inconveniences and barely there amenities.

Staff were great. Very good budget stay and excellent location for Valencia. Fun for a night or two.

Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the room was spotless. We couldn’t fault it. The bathroom was shared so there was always someone cleaning the rooms and the bathroom. The bathroom had a slight smell coming from the drainage but other than that, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness Location: It was a little difficult to find at first since they don’t have any signs on the outside, but when your walking on that street, you have to look through the door glass to see if you’ve got the right hotel. Service: The staff at the desk were lovely. Sadly they have a set time when they are at the desk. After midnight there is no one on site, other than a phone number to call incase you need anything, which can be a problem for those who don’t have a Spanish number like us. Amenities: they had only one towel for me and my partner to use for one night. Downside: we wanted to stay one night to see how the place is, before we booked additional nights and we’re glad we didn’t booked additional nights. The capsule wasn’t sound proof, which we was aware, but the fact it had a quiet policy in place is what attracted us to experience the capsule. Sadly around 11pm not just me, but the neighbouring capsule experience a couple making loud intimate sounds in there capsule. We decided to give them there privacy but after half n hour it was beginning to bother me a lot as I needed to sleep. So I went to the front counter and there was no one at 2330 at the desk, just a phone number to ring. Which I couldn’t ring as I didn’t have a Spanish phone number. So me and the other neighbour capsule had to put up a sleepless night till the early morning. I did complain to the staff upon check out and she was really lovely and understood how I felt. It was a shame there was no one at night who I could have spoken to, otherwise I only had good things to say about this place

It was our first experience in a hotel of this type and the truth is that we liked it more than expected

Close the door, the bed feels good

We booked this as it was only €50 and we didn’t want to buy another nights accommodation by the coast for €130. We only needed to stay here 8 hours because our flight arrived at 01:00 am. We got to the front door and as we expected there was nobody at the front desk. However we could not get into the building without a code. I had emailed before booking asking about the late check in and they said they would send check in information the day before however they did not. We were left outside before finding an emergency number on the front door. We rang and a lady answered and gave us information. I removed a star because of this experience. The lockers were not big enough to store our 20kg suitcase so we had to have it in the pod with us. Not ideal but ok as it was only a few hours. Another half star lost for this. We were lucky the place was quiet. The pods were noisy when moving around inside and you could hear other people when they coughed etc. Happy we stayed here overall for €50 but be careful checking in late.

People got loud in the middle of the night and hostel staff leave at 12 so they weren’t there to tell them to quiet down. Towels are not provided for free, you have to pay £2 for every clean towel you want to use. You’re given 1 key even if you’re with another person and you have to pay 20£ if you lose it. 2 pillows per pod, 1 top sheet and 1 small comforter. Had to beg the staff to turn on the ac in the main room because it was so hot in the pod and they would begrudgingly turn it on only to turn it off a couple hours later.

I thought the experience of staying in a capsule was fantastic, oddly enough it was very comfortable and quiet. The common areas of the hostel were well maintained, good cleaning service and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised, traveling alone or with friends is a great option.

A very quiet and safe stay. Super central hotel, the facilities such as capsules and bathrooms are very clean. A point to improve would be, in the showers there should be a way to adjust the temperature since it comes out super hot. For the rest, recommended.

Bad service, they charge you extra for everything, small, no privacy, hard mats. Impossible to rest, noises from all sides, the rooms are very thin, double bed but single duvet, bathrooms see you from the hallway when you change. Redhead receptionist doesn't solve problems.

Good value for money.

Helt greit for en natt, men badet var utrolig skittent og luktet vondt. Kapselen var romslig, men det var ikke ordentlig rent.
