Gail's Guest House

I stayed in this guest house for two nights in June and I have no complaints. Lyndon and Lucy are good hosts, with Lyndon making the best breakfast just as you want it. The property is an easy walk from Barry Island train station, and it's a great base if you wish to get to know both sides of the town (it's all walkable). I had a double room with a private bathroom; it had a flatscreen TV, plenty of tea and coffee, towels and toiletries provided, and even a fridge and ironing board in the wardrobe! Aside from a little bit of mould at the bottom of the shower, which I didn't use, the room and bathroom were both very clean. Overall, staying at Gail's Guest House was a great experience that I would recommend, especially to solo travellers like me who are looking for somewhere safe and homely.

Nice warm welcome on arrival and we were able to put our bags in the room early. Owner lent us a parking permit for our stay to make it a little easier. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were clean. A perfect example of a seaside guest house. Ideal location if you’re wanting to do the gavin and Stacey tour. Around a fifteen minute stroll to the beach and has a handy shop next door.

Stayed here for 1 night with a friend, it is an excellent location & only around a 10/15 minute walk to the beach. Our room was very clean and I was impressed by the size of the bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and the owner was really friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Great guest house, close to Barry Island, only a 10 minute walk and two convenience stores close by, one two doors down. Rooms very nice and beds are comfy. The owner Lyndon is very polite and can't do enough for you and cooks a great breakfast. Highly recommend.

Great room , clean room, friendly staff/owners, great food. Just a wonderful experience all round. It is great to have someone nice to stay when on a weekend trip, just makes it. Parking areas explained, easy check in and out, would recommend.

Great stay, it was clean and comfortable and good breakfast in the morning catered for me and I am a ceoliac. Great place to stay in Barry and good price. Small family owned business that are freindly and couldn’t do more, parking was also easy and close and everything local was an easy walk away such as station, the amusements etc.
