This is a fine hotel, nicely decorated, helpful staff, slightly understated befitting its location. The restaurant is great the pool is really super and most important is this hotel has one of the nicest views I've every experience from my hotel window. Be sure to request a room with a view! Then use this location as a base for exploring the best of west Sicily; San Vito Lo Capo with its world class beach, Trapani's antique district, Segesta and Erice. A great hotel in the perfect location.

The hotel has rooms on both the old part, in which we were, and the new one. It has a great location uphill, very quite postion, isolated, beautiful sight, and a climate that (august) was sensibly better (less humid) that Trapani downtown. You take your car quite close to your room. The old part, in which we were, is very close to a (good) agriculture like those in tuscany, with the advantages and drawbakcs of such places. An example, it had no air cond, only a noisy fan, yet the thick stone walls and the uphill position mitigate somewhat the hot summer. Breakfast was standard, nothing special. There is a restaurant in which we had dinner at a resonalble price and quality. The price is high (actually the highest in our travel), but reasonable if you consider that you pay for elegance, quiet and the outstanding location.

It is worth staying at this hotel for its view, which is spectacular. But it also makes a very good base for touring western Sicily. When choosing this hotel it is worth thinking carefully about the type of room you want: those in the beautiful old stone building have a lot of character but they don't have air conditioning and only one, I think, has the sea view; the rooms in the more functional modern building have air conditioning and many have the view. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant, which offers typical Sicilian food, was good. Though we didn't try one, the number of locals getting take aways suggests that the pizzas were very good. The house wine was cheap and delicious. Other reviews have suggested that the breakfast is not up to much. It's fine. It's not the best breakfast you will ever have but it is perfectly satisfactory. There is plenty of good coffee. If we are ever in this part of Sicily again, we would certainly look to stay there again.

We decided to get out of Palermo our last day there to take an excursion and explore the western coast of Sicily. We knew this was an option for us in the off season, but that to hire a private car/tour guide would be expensive, so we originally declined this service. However, toward the end of our Palermo stay we realized we needed to just go for it--and we are so glad that we made this decision. We paid $150 Euro per person and our hotel arranged for a car to pick us up at ten in the morning. Our guide picked us up, drove us to see the ruins in Segeste, and then took us to Valderice for lunch at the resort before driving up to Erice to see the ancient village. We think he called ahead to the restaurant so they'd open it just for us. Anyway, they had a waiter there for us, and the day was just beautiful. We had a private lunch in the dining room, overlooking the coastline below. It was fabulous. Of course, what made it most memorable was the quality of the food. Our guide suggested that we try the local pasta as our first course. It was a Riccioli type of pasta, made fresh--not dried. It was absolutely wonderful and full of garlic. We had swordfish and veal, and a plate of grilled vegetables. All with a local wine, of course. So memorable. Great service, too! This resort is extremely beautiful with views that cannot be beat. Note: We paid separately for our meal, in addition to our private tour in Sicily. The price was reasonable, and well worth it.

The accommodations are basic but extremely clean. The staff is very kind. The breakfast is nice and you can fix your own fresh squeezed orange juice. The grounds are relaxing to walk through. The homemade pasta in the restaurant is very good. Service is very professional. The views are extraordinary especially at sunset.

We did not stay in this hotel, we only made use of its restaurant. We cannot fault this place, both the antipasti and the pasta were extremely good. As a desert I ordered the sweet pastry parcels filled with ricotta which were also very nice.

For our full experience please read the google review from Monika stayed in october 2024 and compare it with booking. Com reply from reception ..... Avoid this tourist trap unless you are happy to not be able use wifi ,"sleep" on hard rock bed ,have poor quality food ,are hapoy for couches full of people arriving almost every day ,hear every single noise from any room in the hotel from around 5am , have receptionist lie to you ,being look down by the owner ,have dirty bath ,pay €144 for room of the same standard as the ones which are selling for €75 . Restaurant staff and YOUNG reception staff ,view and pool were nice. Not enough for a nice holiday .... Could be 4 star hotel ,but in person is less than 1 ( view is great ) Shocking

Stayed here for a chilled time away from work for a week. The facilities like pool, restaurant, breakfast, pool bar and rooms are great. I was in the newer part that did have air conditioning that was welcome. The location itself was 1.1 miles away from a nice town square overlooking the bay with a cafe/bar and couple of restaurants in it. I can see this as being a great place to use as a base to explore the west coast of Sicily (not what I was after) Staff were lovely and friendly.

Fully relaxing weekend with Wife and Dog in a wonderful place, surrounded by greenery that respects nature and with a well-kept garden. It exceeded our expectations, the rooms were very minimal, but at our request it was with a small supplement with a moving sea view, cleanliness reigns supreme, not to mention the hospitality of the entire staff, from the reception to the restaurant. Mrs. Catia, the first person who welcomed us at the reception, a wonderful person, very nice and very approachable, not with a stink under her nose like in many hotels, she made us feel as if we were at home and not to mention of the advice she gave us on the places to visit and the culinary specialties to taste, very knowledgeable. We recommend you try it.
