Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio at Scandic Svolvær just doesn’t add up. We paid €450 for two nights, which is hard to justify considering the overall experience.
The rooms are extremely small, there’s no real way to ventilate them properly, and there’s no parking included – despite the high price. The beds looked like they were made by a teenager in a rush – messy and not up to hotel standards at all.
On the plus side, the internet was stable, the shower worked well, and the staff was generally friendly. However, one breakfast experience stood out in a negative way: I was clearly waiting for hot water, and a staff member saw me standing there but continued to slowly restock cups without acknowledging me at all. Not rude – just indifferent.
Breakfast itself was okay, but nothing special. Sadly, for this price, I expected much more. Comfortable basics, better attention to detail, and at least a proper bed setup. Definitely room for improvement.

Need to carry your luggage to 2nd floor no lift at this hotel. You can hear neighbour room closing and opening door.

Amazing hotel! Clean room, lovely view by the sea. Parking is plenty, good sized gym and amazing breakfast buffet - with so many options! One of the best hotels we stayed in during our Norway trip. I’d definitely recommend.

The room had a great view of the sea, the breakfast was very rich, the restaurant's glass room was very comfortable, the hotel staff was very helpful, the taxi to the airport broke down, the hotel sent a car to the airport, very praise

The small hotel is built right on the pier, with a small balcony directly overlooking the fjord. The rooms are very small, and you can basically go to bed as soon as you walk in. The breakfast is good. The receptionists are very friendly.
