Hotel Austral Ushuaia

Besides being flawless, they charged my phone while there was an extended power outage in the whole city.

Comfortable and spacious suite The suite I stayed was clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable. The location is very convenient too, close to restaurants and shopping. The complimentary breakfast was good. The only complaint I have is that the hot water didn’t work first. The front desk lady came to check and found it was turned off. She turned it on and it worked fine since.

We stayed in one of the apartments. Everything was very old and tired with a lot of evidence of advanced wear. The walls, doors, light switches were dirty with grim. We dropped something that rolled under the bed...it had not been cleaned under there is a while! Going to breakfast our first day, all we saw was some juice and bread on 2 small tables. We were standing wandering if that was all, looking a little confused, when one of the other guests advised us to go to a pass through window in the wall at the back. They has the rest of the food (ham,cheese, boiled eggs, some fruit) back there and there were 2 ladies back there to serve you the food (I'm assuming so that you don't take too much since they didn't give large portions). There was no sign to indicate that you had to go to the window to ask for food and no staff member was present to let you know. The ladies had not been visible as they were standing back from the window until we approached. If the other guest has not directed us we probably would have left without breakfast as there was no one at the front desk either. The staff, when present, were okay but not really friendly or welcoming. We would not stay at this hotel again and unfortunately, we can not recommend it to others.
