Tiancheng International Youth Hostel (Urumqi)

It's newly opened, so many things aren't quite up to date. However, the facilities are excellent, with all the necessary appliances, most of which are Xiaomi smart appliances. The lobby is spacious and can easily accommodate 50 people, though it's relatively new, so it wasn't very crowded. I heard that only the first floor is currently open, but if it were fully operational, it could accommodate over 200 people. Also, the front desk service was excellent.

This is a brand new youth hostel. The owner told me the story is long, but briefly, it took 20 months to complete the paperwork after renovations. It's currently in a soft opening, and they plan to gather feedback and make adjustments. It's truly a very sincere youth hostel. The appliances are all branded: the hair dryer is from Xiaomi, the washing machine is from Xiaomi, and the air conditioner is from Xiaomi. The lobby is very large, with a pool table for a game (secret: there's a large, professional billiards hall 30 meters across the street).

Cleanliness: While not the hotel's fault, the garbage left by guests in the lobby (around the pool table and in the lounge area) from a nighttime gathering was quite disturbing during check-in (there was also a slight pungent smell). Environment: The hotel's surroundings are pleasant and conveniently located. Service: The staff responded promptly to any requests I had during my stay, which was highly recommended! Facilities: As this is a new hotel, many amenities are still in need of updating (such as fresh air in the rooms and separate male and female bathrooms). I believe this will improve in the future.

The front desk service was very good, and they patiently explained to me what I needed to pay attention to after check-in.

For just 50r per person, you get a clean and comfortable bed with a private bathroom and 24/7 hot water. Students and budget travelers should definitely give it a try! The biggest surprise was the billiards area! You know what I mean, folks! Hidden within the hostel is a brand new pool table with excellent lighting and a full set of cues. The cozy environment is so inviting you won't want to leave! The common area is spacious, with a VIP TV, sofas piled with pillows, and bookshelves filled with Xinjiang travel guides and other books donated by local friends. The location is also fantastic! It's super convenient to the Grand Bazaar, and downstairs is a small shop selling steamed buns and pilaf. Waking up to the aroma of steamed buns is the perfect way to experience Xinjiang! After staying in so many cold hostels, this one truly feels like a "temporary home in Urumqi." If you're looking to meet new people and have fun on the cheap, listen to me and choose this one!
