Hilton Garden Inn Urumqi Railway Station

This is the first time I've given a low review after being a Ctrip member for over ten years. When checking in, I requested a room that didn't face the South Square of the train station. The front desk clerk was completely confused and had no idea where to find the room. There were only two staff members at the front desk, and they were overwhelmed when there were a lot of people. The elevators were individually controlled and not linked, making it inconvenient to press multiple buttons to go up and down the stairs. The card machine in the elevator was also not very responsive. The room should have had more bottled water than just two, and you had to ask for more. This would have been convenient for guests to drink at night and take with you the next day. I ordered takeout, and the driver brought it to the lobby 20 minutes later, but the robot still couldn't deliver it. I wonder if it got lost or something. The room clearly states that check-out is at 2:00 PM, but the hotel policy states it's at 12:00 PM. I've never encountered this in all my days in Xinjiang. I don't know what they were thinking. The most outrageous thing is that when you're using the bathroom and no one else is in the room, the sensor on the roof (pictured below) doesn't detect anyone, and after about ten minutes, the power goes out to the entire room (definitely not the half hour the staff said). The room is pitch black, even the smart toilet is out of power, and you can't flush it. Can you handle that? 😂 Anyway, the hotel is new, and that's definitely its biggest advantage, but other than that, there's not much else to it.

This is a new Hilton Garden Inn hotel, officially opening on August 8th. The service and amenities are excellent, consistent with Hilton's standard service standards. Some features could be improved, such as the lack of bathrobes and the fact that some bedside outlets in standard rooms aren't located above the bedside cabinets. The hotel isn't a problem, but the night market at the South Railway Station doesn't close until after 11:30 PM each day, and the noise is around 60-70 decibels. Even with the windows closed on upper floors, it's still quite noisy, making it a real nuisance for those who prefer a quiet and early night.
