Liyi Hotel (Urumqi Hetian Second Street Dehui Wanda Branch)

Dishonest hotel and very bad staff services. I had booked upper floor 13-14 floor, deluxe family room for 2 nights. September 7th - 9th (We are check in about at 1.30am upon flight arrived from Kashgar). I was informed room was taken by others and ask us (3 persons) to view the room which located same floor at (14th) " deluxe twin". On the second day 8th, about 5.30pm managed to change to the room i was booked. 8th morning about 9.45am, Asking for the hotel manager to solve the room problem but informed manager not in yet. Evening 5 pm i asking again informed manager in meeting. Another funny things are, 1) 4* hotel name which published in Trip.com and listed in the hotel building was different. 2) The hotel manager informed that what did she said was unable to pen in as proof as hotel policy.

Staff is incredibly friendly and try always to help. The rooms are new and very clean. The rooms are isolated from outside noise.... but not from other rooms. We do not hear a sound from outside but we hear everything from other rooms. I could not sleep because people were speaking and drinking and seeing tv during two nights. If you have lucky and you have guests that respect other guests, this is a very good option to stay in Urumqi. It is enough far away from the noisy and chaotic bazar but close enough to go there by taxi in 10 minutes.
