What a way to acclimatize before hiking. The rooms and property are lovely. Excellent service throughout but a shoutout to Dora (masseuse) and Sabrina in the restaurant. Loved the pool too! The spa is tiny but serene. Obviously feed the baby alpacas.

Very private location. Hotel has all the amenities that you could want. Friendly staff. Feeding the alpacas with bottles was fun. The spa with 2 hot tubs (one inside and one outside) was fantastic. You need to be able to walk hills and stairs on this property, but it is so lovely.

My son and I went to Peru to celebrate his college graduation and we stayed at Rio Sagrado for two nights while we visited the Sacred Valley last week.. It is such an amazing and beautiful place. If I could have changed anything about the trip it would have been to add another night there just to relax and enjoy the beauty of the property. The attention to detail was amazing. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and they greeted us by name from the tine we checked in. The alpacas on site were a definite highlight for us. They were so cute and it was a lot of fun to feed them. There is a hike and bike ride offered through the hotel that we wished we would have done. The food at both breakfast and dinner was delicious. At checkout they presented us with personalized luggage tags created by a local artisan. I hope to get back soon.

Grounds are impeccable Views and Greenery are 10/10 Service is 10/10 Food is 10/10 Will return Will recommend Just a WOW ! Their Belmond Monasterio Hotel in Cusco is also top notch. These 2 are the best hotels in Per Hands down . The Miraflores in Lima was also very good , but doesn’t have the incredible charm or beauty of Rio Sagrado and Monasterio

There’s no air conditioning. They say “oh you can open a door” or “we will bring you a fan” but in reality it’s not the same. I didn’t sleep great the whole time I stayed there as a result. Room was humid and stuffy, even with the door open. There are blinds / curtains which block the door as well. It’s supposed to be a 5 star hotel and service was good otherwise, but I wouldn’t spend top dollar to stay in a place without AC.
