Took my mum to the Grand Hotel Uriage for a bit of TLC and had a fantastic time! It was too short to book spa treatments as we went Sunday-Monday but the hotel spa facilities were absolutely phenomenal: 2 pools, 1 steam room, 2 saunas and an incredible jacuzzi set in a beautiful park with plenty of sun loungers for everyone. We stayed in a "chambre mansardée" which was beautiful and great value on the 4th floor (with a lift!). The only consideration when booking these rooms is that the shower is over a bath under the eves so not easy unless you can kneel or sit in the bath (the room on thex3rd floor are marginally more expensive but might be worth it). The bed was comfortable, the view gorgeous and the uriage products in the bathroom phenomenal (including a really lovely bag with samples to take home). Breakfast is pricey but utterly delicious so worth it. There are lots of good value restaurants and bakeries very close to the hotel. The steak tartare at La Fondue across the road was phenomenal. Overall, we had a fantastic and extremely relaxing stay and will be back :) Thank you Grand Hotel Uriage!

The location is nice, with little grocery stores and a park nearby. The furniture and bathroom as well as the spa are very dated and not well maintained. We didn't really feel at home (smelly toilet and also because the heating was off and we had to use an electric heater). It is a nice hotel overall, but it just seems past its time.

The Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room we had was not particularly big but comfortable. Shower not great as there was no splash screen or curtain, so difficult to shower without getting the bathroom wet. A few tips: think of investing into a Hotel mini bus to transport customers as taxis are far and between in this part of Grenoble and too expensive. As a Hotel you can charge visitors. Link the Thermal Spa company's website to the Hotel's so it is easier to book any treatments and see all what the Spa offers. When visiting the Hotel website you get the impression that the Spa is part of it but in fact is it a separate business. It would be to the advantage of both Hotel and Spa to expand the on line exposure. We tried to book a treatment but you need to do this weeks in advance generally, this is not clear when booking the hotel. There was nothing available during our 3 day stay.

The Grand Hotel d'Uriage is an historical building in the middle of a beautiful park with the charm and taste of the XIX century French "Art de vivre". the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The Spa is large with two thermal swimming pool, steam bath and sauna. The gastronomic restaurant is excellent with a very raffinated cuisine elaborated by the chef Carmen. The service is of outstanding quality. One of the best address in France not to be missed
