Desert Palace Hotel

The hotel has been the same for some time now, some areas needs attention to attract not just the local but travelers to come for an experience. Staff is very friendly and always their to assist, but they need the support from management to the a little more for their clients. Get the spark back.

Nice and clean. Just wish we planned more time to use the facilities. We arrived late due to an unexpected problem. It all looked good and nice and quiet. We would use the venue again when we return. Helpful staff

I enjoyed the golf course view from my balcony and will recommend this hotel . I have one recommendation for the kitchen. I don't eat pork but bacon was added to my breakfast.Checking on diet needs by staff can prevent such.

Sadly our rooms were not ready, even though we were given our keys on check in at 4pm. Sadly towels only arrived later in the evening. Not sure why you want 200 characters, so I just add a few useless letters -)

A few years ago, we enjoyed staying at the Desert Palace. Now, the standard of service, food, and the rest is extremely low. What a huge disappointment. Although the rooms were clean, our luxurious room was just very normal. Apparently, there were supposed to be 2 double beds, we only had one. Also, we received two big towels and two small ones on the first day, which is good, but afterward we always had to fight room service to bring us enough towels. Also, most of the electric wall sockets did not work in our room. We also struggled for a full day to get our TV working. They kept on telling us it is fixed now but did not come to check or do a follow-up visit. Management, please teach your people about quality checks and serving guests. After that day (we stayed 3 days), the lady waiter brought us someone else's ribs and tried to convince us it was the lamb chops we ordered. My goodness, management, don't you train your waiters to understand the difference between ribs and lamb chops? By the time we got the lamb chops, we could not eat it. It was tougher than the dirty plastic cloth on the tables. Also, our order of wine never came, even after reminding the lady waiter several times. The adult children's pizza was very nice though. Furthermore, one could not relax next to the swimming pool. There were no chairs or anywhere to just enjoy the water in the incredible heat. The mature lady that is usually behind the front desk was the only person who gave us a good service. A man, who looked like an Indian chap, ate big plates of fatty chips and Russians at the front desk while us guests were waiting to be served. The whole front desk stank of fatty food. He then served us with dirty hands. I cannot tell you how utterly disappointed we were. The fall from where this hotel used to be in the past and where it is now, is very sad. If you don't pull up your socks and start to understand the hotel industry and make it work, many of your employees are going to lose their jobs, due to management incompetency. We never saw a manager anywhere. Management needs to wander around and interact with guests to make sure they have a happy stay. It's a matter of excellence and professionalism, it does not matter if you are a 3 star or 5 star. hotel. Come on, guys, you need to be much better than this. It all about exerting leadership, from everyone, even from the lowest of your personnel. Teach them that, self-worth and dignity. It was nowhere to be seen.

What a lovely venue, clean, very polite, knowledgeable & helpful staff. Services of the Shuttle Service offered was awesome & convenient. Restaurant Food Dishes was awesome & cost was economical. Room was a good size and well maintained & serviced. Would difinately stay in the Desert Palace Hotel again.
