The hotel is located in Unzen, Nagasaki. Transportation in Unzen is inconvenient. There is no train station for public transportation, only a bus stop. The hotel is in front of the Unzen Information Center. You can get there immediately after getting off the car. There are staff at the door who warmly welcome you. This is a time-honored hotel that opened in 1917. Now it has been renovated. The main restaurant can still see its original appearance. The space is decorated with high peach and classical styles, facing the fairy atmosphere of hell. It is very classic and tasteful. The rooms all have hell views. There are three high-end hotels in Unzen. Kyushu Unzen faces the main view of hell. Kai Unzen faces a smaller hell view but has large windows and a good view. Unzen Miyazaki Hotel also has a good view of hell and has one. The garden is very beautiful, but I didn’t book this hotel because I didn’t have room and board for one person. Three hotels are within walking distance. Kyushu Unzen has French cuisine for dinner, which tastes good and has good ingredients. The Japanese and Western set meals are available for breakfast, which is also good. The hotel does not have a large public bath. Each room has a bathing pool. The hot spring water contains Yunohana, which is acidic and not as slippery as other hot springs. The room has a Japanese tatami which is useless and takes up space. The shortcomings of the facilities are that the hair dryer is poor, there is no overall control of the lights, and the panel has bright spots that affect sleep. Someone in the lounge serves coffee and alcohol for free, and there is a terrace with views and tea on the top floor. Compared to the hotel, the sulfur smell is much stronger than that of Kai. In short, it is recommended to stay in Unzen. The last picture is Unzen Miyazaki and Unzen Kai.

This hotel is the only choice in Unzen. There is a bath in the room, so you can use it anytime. The view of Unzen Jigoku outside is amazing. The food is delicious and I look forward to it every time.

This hotel is located right in the center of Unzen, a volcanic area. You can see the hot springs from outside your window and from the hotel dining room. It is beautiful inside. Each room has their own (onsen) hot spring bath which they clean each day. Our room faced the mountain. All the rooms include drinks and food. We opted for the breakfast and dinner which was a good decision for us as we did not have a car. The dinner was fabulous and well worth the extra money. The service was impeccable and everyone was super kind.

This is a stunning hotel in a stunning location amidst the fumaroles of Unzen Hells. The property is immaculate. Spacious rooms offer every conceivable comfort - topped by a private onsen on the balcony (fed by those fumaroles). The restaurant offers both Japanese and "Western" menus. Over two nights, we tried both and were blown away by the quality of food. The hotel staff are friendly, relaxed and incredibly attentive.

This is a fabulous hotel. Our room was spacious, with a great sitting area that overlooked the geothermal activity. The bedding was very comfortable. The bath was amazing, really hot and invigorating. The dinner and breakfast were both really good, They have some great French wine that went well with our delicious French dinner.

A historic hotel has been renovated into a small luxury hotel. It is worth the price. The rooms are spacious and the free-flowing hot springs in the rooms are good. There are lots of hot spring deposits. The open-air bath is cold, so I prefer the indoor baths. There are two lounges, one of which has a bartender on duty and can make cocktails for free. The hotel staff are all friendly, and there are only a few rooms, so it feels like a quiet resort hotel for adults. It has a luxurious feel and is very nice. You can relax. You can wear your room wear and sandals in the room in the main dining room. It feels like you're at home. However, Unzen Jigoku is a spectacular location? Or rather, steam is spewing out from the desolate earth. That's all. The main dining room has not been renovated and is still the same as it was in the past, so it has a heavy feel. The view is not very visible because of the steam spewing out. The food was a mix of Japanese and Western, and we were served sashimi, which was delicious, but there was no sense of surprise. For breakfast, there were some reviews saying that the Japanese food was excellent, but my wife had Western food and I had Japanese food. It was definitely Western food, right? Ordinary? I wonder what they had been eating. I had Western food, and it was the first time I'd seen rice for breakfast. It was a real surprise. Maybe they were unhappy with only one slice of bread... The Japanese food was sea bream and clams with egg on top... The difference was clear and I should have gone for the Western food. The smell of sulfur enveloped the town, making it feel like it's been a while since I've been to a hot spring.

This hotel in Unzen was the first place I visited on my first trip to Nagasaki Prefecture. [Room] When I entered the room, I was impressed by the view of the Yubatake in Unzen right in front of me. It was spacious and clean, and there was a terrace where I could relax while drinking the beer that was provided in the room, which was great. I usually feel uneasy at hot spring inns, so I can't walk around in a yukata, but the in-house clothing was comfortable, so I wore it to eat. [Hot spring] The hot spring bath in the room was very relaxing, and the amenities were of high quality. Above all, it was great that I could splash around in it anytime, as many times as I wanted. At first, I thought it was a bit disappointing that there was no large public bath, but it was actually great. There was a bathrobe, so I put it on after the bath and cooled off on the terrace. [Meals] It was a Western-style course, and everything, including fish and meat, was delicious. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese and Western food. I chose Japanese food, and everything was also extremely delicious. The dining space also had a retro feel and a wonderful atmosphere. [Staff] They were very kind and I had a comfortable stay. [Other] There were two cafe areas, and alcohol and other things were free to enjoy, which was a great deal. There was also a service where you could send postcards for free, so I was able to spend an elegant time. [Overall] With high-quality hot springs, delicious food, and warm service, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. It's far away and I can't come often, but I'd like to visit Nagasaki again just to stay at this hotel. Thank you very much.

I stayed at the Terrace Premier Twin on the 4th floor for one night from Sunday, March 5th. I was able to have a very relaxing stay with a good location where I can see Unzen Jigoku right in front of me and an elegant and calm atmosphere. '[Guest room] The guest room, which is about 62 square meters, has a spacious space, and the living room, bed, Japanese-style room, and walk-in closet are laid out functionally. I could feel it and felt very comfortable. Especially the walk-in closet next to the entrance was very spacious and impressive. [Wet area] The faintly sulfur-scented hot springs, adjusted to a suitable temperature, were constantly flowing into the bathtub, so you could enjoy the hot springs as much as you wanted. Next to the hot spring, there is a terrace where you can feel the outside air, and you can cool down while gazing at the superb view of Unzen Jigoku. One thing that bothered me was that the door between the hot spring and the terrace couldn't be opened, so I couldn't feel the outside air in the bathtub. [Public area] There are lounges for guests on the 2nd and 8th floors, where you can enjoy free drinks. Especially in the lounge on the 2nd floor, there is a happy hour after dinner, and you can spend a relaxing time with a glass in hand while looking at the beautiful courtyard with a basin. [Meals] We had both dinner and breakfast in the dignified dining room. Dinner was an eclectic Japanese-Western menu, but the menu was designed so that you wouldn't feel unbalanced, and it would go well with any drink. Starting with the main Nagasaki Wagyu beef steak, the content was satisfying in both taste and volume. For breakfast, I chose one Western and one Japanese, both of which were of high quality, and the "Beef Stroganoff" served as one of the Western dishes was especially delicious. [Staff service] Considering the scale of 25 rooms in total, I think the number of staff members was large and attentive. It is an impression that the service was provided with a firm grasp of the guest's flow line. The only thing that bothered me was that there were a lot of veteran male staff, and perhaps because of their high level of professionalism, I sometimes felt gestures and facial expressions that seemed to make fun of guests.
