Simply not worth for money.we atleast expected basic cleanliness and a decent service .We got a rundown neglected room with a broken air conditioner and the staff acted like they couldn’t be bothered to help. horrible hospitality. The complimentary breakfast was a joke.

We went to Amor villa on 1 night stay with 16 people group. We brought “marinated” chicken items from our end to ease the process to the chef. Later when we delivered the marinated chicken, the manager told that they can only operate bbq drill for steamed chicken. And also they told that’s the only to prepare the chicken. He said that the chef is an “expert” and not to argue. When we argue he said that he wanted 10K to perform the extra work. We had to agree, as we had no other options to consider at that moment with 6Kgs of raw chicken 🥲 After this argument we clearly stated that we are “dissatisfied” with this decision. The manager ( His name is Shamaka) then told that “whatever” that our situation he don’t care. So that’s the customer experience that we went through. The irony of the story is that, The “expert” chef of Shamaka prepared the worst BBQ experience we have ever had. I have attached “some” of the burnt food they’ve prepared. We had to arrange everything from bread to sausages. The only plus point is the staff and the owner. They are kind and helpful. And, yes. The manager is not the owner as we understood. You cannot play cricket in here though there’s a big fat garden. We will never recommend this place to anyone based on the Manager (Shamaka) s greed for money with terrible customer service.

A wonderful place for a family vacation. A pool overlooking the ocean, well-kept lawns where palm squirrels jump. Sun loungers and tables in the shade. You can chill all day without strangers and watch the children run from the ocean waves, catch crabs in the rocks or splash in the pool. Pros: 1. Clean, they sweep everything all day long, wash both the territory and the room, move the bedside tables, wash under the beds, touch up something, etc. 2. Light, hot water always. Cleaning, change of towels, drinking water on request in bottles 3. This is an authentic old villa, it is more than 100 years old. There is furniture from those times, frescoes on the walls, shutters, and even dishes in the buffet on the veranda. 4. Breakfasts with a view and the sound of the ocean, napkins, dishes, fresh flowers are always on the table. Cuteness Cons: 1. Strange design of the bathrooms. Some kind of terrible shower stall, wretched tiles 🙊 Considering the authenticity of the villa, the design could have been done in an antique style. Oh well) 2. Everything is more expensive in the hotel restaurant itself, I had to go to the Kabala restaurant, with 3 children we would have gladly eaten there, but the difference is significant 3. The breakfasts are monotonous. Fried eggs, toast, fruit. Once there were pancakes. 4. The main minus, for which we scolded - the coconuts on the palm trees were not removed and tied up, they can fall. This is dangerous ‼ ️ 5. Everything on request: we just did not know that we needed to ask for beach towels or, for example, pancakes for breakfast, usually the staff themselves offer everything. I will attach photos of the rooms: the bathrooms were really surprising, to put it mildly. We had 2 rooms. The children's are inside the villa, ours has an exit to the ocean. The view is breathtaking. The noise at night is like sleeping under a highway bridge, keep that in mind 😁 More. We walked to the turtles. To the center of Unawatuna and to Galle by tuk-tuk. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ to the staff. Everyone is cute, the maid, the administrator, the janitor, the guard and the cook. In general, there are too many people for 6-8 rooms. By the way, it is very safe. They monitor the rooms. They returned my Applewatch that fell behind the nightstand. And by that time I had already flown away. They passed it on to my compatriots

If you want to spoil your vacation and are afraid of your next vacation, then choose the Amore Villa Hotel! You will remember the pungent smell of dampness and mothballs for the rest of your life. A room with shabby walls long in need of repair, mold, dirt and one working socket. At night there are a lot of mosquitoes that don’t let you sleep, a non-working air conditioner and a fan that starts from a stick - the picture is depressing. The ocean on the first line and high humidity do not allow the towels to dry, they are wet all the time and are not changed, all hope is to dry out in the sun without towels. The door to your room closes every ten times, the lock is broken, if you’re lucky it will close, if not, you’ll have to go out through the balcony, close the door and hope that the little geckos crawling along the walls will guard your room while you’re walking along the beach. In order not to distract vacationers from the beauty of nature, there are no TVs in the rooms. And for all this “luxury” the owner takes an additional payment of 20 dollars per day on top of the tour operator’s voucher fee (the best room in this hotel, the rest of the rooms are smaller and without an ocean view). Bottled drinking water, which is usually brought to you once a day in other hotels, is not included in this price; you will have to go look for it in the nearest store. Breakfast surprised me with a colony of ants on the table, running in a chain from the sugar bowl, which the local waiter didn’t even pay attention to. In the neighboring hotel, Angel, there are local discos and the music is very loud until midnight. It is impossible to survive more than two sleepless nights in a hotel. On the plus side there is a beautiful view of the ocean from the room.

A good place. Tired but good villa. It borders the territory with Angel Beach. Be prepared, Friday, Saturday, possibly Sunday are loud. There are no safes in the rooms. There is a refrigerator in only 1 room.

A small and very cozy hotel on the first coastline. The beach nearby is clean and sandy. The area is well maintained, there is a small swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful and answers all requests. A good place for lovers of a relaxing holiday. Special thanks to the manager Shamaka Nuwan.
