The price is a bit expensive, but you can use the meeting room for free when you eat with clients in the restaurant, which is not bad.

The service was outstanding. I've found my new hotel to stay at every time I travel to Durban for work and now for vacations also!.. It's 15 minutes from the airport!.. The staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and spacious!.. Reception is extremely helpful and welcoming!.. Thank you guys for making my trip to Durban amazing!. Until next time!

The hotel and spa need to have better communication between them. The hotel also needs to have a better TV service and should have an option to access streaming channels such as Netflix and Prime.

I spent 3 days in coastlands umhlanga with friendly, helpful staff at the hotel. my best experience was saffron making my birthday very special to me, as i lost my dad last year. This holiday was a beautful and memorable one shared with loved ones. Coastlands umhlanga made my birthday even more unforgettable.

This review relates mainly to one specific issue, but it was the reason that I selected this hotel over the other choice I had. I run but do not like running on the road in cities I do not know. I therefore selected Coastlands as it has a fitness centre. My other option didn't. There are two treadmills in the fitness centre, both essentially unusable. The one is stuck in about a 3 degree incline and cannot be flattened. The other had a dilapidated running belt that was torn and which kept "sticking" or "stalling" every third or fourth step of my left foot. I've never seen such dilapidated equipment at any other hotel I've stayed at. There were also button covers missing and buttons that did not work. While the room was clean and nice, there was no lighting above the desk which made working on a laptop difficult. The water spout control on the bidet was broken. The plug on the sink leaked water at a rapid rate.

Generally looked ok. A Bit confusing though when arriving at the hotel. The entrance is not clear because of the shops around it. The room quality was fairly ok, however management must consider changing the lace curtains in the rooms they looked filthy and also the beds must be changed i am sure they are fully depreciated. I did not have a comfortable sleep. Hotel Personnel very friendly. Please also try and use soft colours for your hotel to brighten the environment, it felt a bit ******* because of the dark colours used in most areas.

The atmosphere: service and food were excellent. The neatness of the room was really nice. I would definitely be returning to experience this.I would and have recommended this hotel to family and friends.Well done Saffron and Coastlands.
