Such a peaceful and beautiful experience! Sonia and Peppe took great care of us during our stay. I can’t wait to return here in the future for a longer time! The cottage La Limonia is beautiful and spacious and great price for all that you receive.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding as well as hosted a welcome party at BBC. Both were perfect! The entire weekend was a dream. Such a beautiful place for a wedding and celebration. Sonia and the staff treated us like family! The food was incredible. I cannot rave about this place enough! We will be back!

We are a family of 24 people from 3 countries with ages ranging from 3 months old to 60, who had had a couple terrible tragic years. We needed a space to come together to mourn and honor those lost but also to be a family again, to laugh and eat and find joy in new generations. We needed to relax and hold each other tight. We needed to share memories and tell stories. We needed to be together but also have plenty of space to be by ourselves. We needed to eat and drink wine and gaze at the Umbrian sky and vineyards. We needed to swim in the Italian sun, play tennis and ping pong, to watch the sun set and lightning storms rumble through the valley. We needed to sleep cozy at night while the teens and young adults laughed and star gazed and bonded as cousins (just like we did growing up). We needed a place like Borgo di Bastia Creti and we needed Sonia, the manager who greeted us with warmth, shed a tear when she heard our families story, who planned beautiful days for us and when we changed our minds and then changed them again always just smiled and said “no problem”. Borgo di Bastia Creti doesn’t feel like a hotel. It feels like home.

This was our second time staying at Borgo Bastia Creti. This time was special because we had our wedding there with a small and intimate group of family and friends who were all able to stay comfortably at the villa. We truly enjoy staying here and appreciate the help and care from Sonia, Yuri and the rest of the staff. We had arranged a few days of breakfast and one dinner which all of our guests loved. The grounds are maintained beautifully. The scenery and views are unmatched. We love the tranquility and privacy of this villa. Where the villa is located is in perfect distance to the more “touristy” towns. There are so many great restaurants nearby which Sonia was always able to help get us reservations for. I think what really sets this villa apart from others is the care of kindness of the team, but also because you feel like it is your home away from home. It os private and away from any crowds but close enough to all that the surrounding area has to offer. We cannot wait to come back here again (hoping for next year)! You will not be disappointed staying here! It is a wonderful place to stay!

My husband and I spent a glorious month at La Limonaia (March-April 2023). In a time when customer service around the world is sadly lacking, the Borgo restored our faith in hospitality excellence. Sonia went above and beyond to make our stay special in every way possible, arranging on-site massages and yoga, restaurant reservations, and spending hours helping us make arrangements for day trips and transportation. She was literally on-call, answering questions after hours and responding almost instantaneously to requests. In fact, all the Borgo staff, were courteous, helpful, efficient, and responsive. The Borgo's setting and surroundings are beyond compare: beautiful, peaceful, rejuvenating. We left a piece of our hearts in Umbria, the heart of Italy, and hope to return again and again.

My husband and I stayed in the one bedroom villa our last 4 nights in Umbria. What makes Borgo Bastia Creti special is the remoteness of the villa and the beauty of the actual property. You feel you are staying in your own private villa. After making a day trip to an Umbrian or Tuscan towns nearby, it was nice to escape and relax in the solitude of the villa. At night we could enjoy a glass of wine while the sun was setting over the Umbrian hills. There is not a restaurant on property but just down the hill is Agriturismo Ristorante Calagrana- one of the best restaurants in Umbria. The villa's kitchen is perfect for cooking as well as you can request breakfast each morning for an additional cost. The hotel manager Sonia every day helped us pick what town to visit as well as booking us in a restaurant for lunch.
