Parking: on arrival there was very limited parking here. There is the addition of paid parking but as I'm nowhere near the town this seems a little expensive to me, however we managed to get the last free space. The girl on reception couldn't have been more helpful, super friendly and very polite. We were offered a welcome drink, all good, then we got to the room... The fixtures and fittings were quite new but in the height of summer the rooms in their attic (31) were painfully hot and uninhabitable. Granted, they can't do anything about the weather but they might consider AC in the rooms? It's unbearably hot up there and no way to fall asleep in sauna. The bathroom was tiny but okay, a minor issue until you get in the shower and see MOULD on the ceiling and some pretty poor attempts to cover it up. Personally I found the bed way too small and woke up not having had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was great. On the whole, the staff were friendly, wifi worked, good breakfast and as we arrived early then we eventually got free parking. It is the attic rooms that are the problem here: too small, way too hot without some AC in them and a mouldy shower. Hit and miss, thus 3 out of 5. Install AC and this would go up 1 point immediately but they probably won't read this.
