Hotel Scandinavian Home of Ulcinj

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was far below expectations — the room had visible dust, the bathroom was not properly sanitized, and the linens did not appear fresh. Service was equally poor, with staff showing little willingness to assist or address concerns. Basic amenities such as Wi-Fi were unreliable, and excessive noise throughout the night made it difficult to rest. For the price charged, the overall experience was unacceptable. I would strongly advise future guests to look elsewhere.

Absolutely dreadful stay at Hotel Scandinavian Home of Ulcinj. The place is run down, dirty, and nowhere near what the pictures suggest. The room was poorly maintained, the so-called “amenities” were either broken or non-existent, and the overall atmosphere was depressing. For the money they charge, it’s an outright rip-off.

The owner is a tall, uncultured guy, aged 40-45, constantly lying about reservations, food, very disappointing and very racist, I would not recommend to anyone.

We had made a reservation for two couples with three children, which was clearly stated in our communication. We received a price offer that was surprisingly low. I was pleasantly surprised, but to be sure, I explicitly asked whether the price was per couple or for the entire group. The person in charge clearly confirmed that the price was for everyone together. Although it was not mandatory, I paid a €100 deposit at their suggestion to secure our spot. After driving 2,000 km, we arrived to check in. To our great surprise, the offer turned out to be incorrect: the price would now only apply to one couple. They refused to acknowledge their mistake, even though I had everything in writing. The person we had been in contact with admitted that he had not read the message carefully: he only saw “two couples” and completely missed the part about three children. When we refused to accept the new price, we asked for our deposit to be refunded. At first, they agreed and said they would return the money, but they did not have it at that moment. They promised to contact us later to bring the money. We agreed to this to avoid wasting more time searching for a new apartment in the middle of the high season, with two 3-year-olds and a 4-year-old. In the end, however, they refused to return the deposit. Their only “solution”? “You can come and have dinner at our open buffet.” A completely inappropriate and insufficient compensation for the expenses and inconvenience caused. In short: they do not honor agreements, refuse to admit mistakes, and show no customer service at all. Definitely not recommended!
