We had such an amazing stay at Town Yard Hostel. Gan, Ayohna, and their whole family could not have been more welcoming to us. Even though we came during a quiet time they organised a great couple of days away in the mini-Gobi for us and accompanied us the whole way which was wonderful. They allowed us to share Mongolian New Years lunch with their family which was a very special moment and will certainly not be forgotten. Their extensive knowledge about the country makes for the best recommendations as they have connections all around the place. The hostel itself is very comfortable and Ayonha prepares great breakfasts every morning. It’s close to the city centre and within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, it’ll make your trip to Mongolia that bit more special.

The hotel is acceptable and a valid price (around 30$). You can have your private bathroom. The bathroom is small and the water is not really leaving the sink. Air smells a lot due to the smoking behaviour of prior guests. With open window you can survive. We got a welcome soup and the check in was fast. Good location of hotel.

The room is large, with a living room, a bedroom, an open kitchen and bathroom, and a large balcony. The view outside the window is also very good. It is a hotel very close to the airport, but international flights are now moved to the new airport. So the hotel still takes half an hour to forty minutes by car

The hotel is in a good location just off the main road. It's quiet at night. The hotel room didn't get cleaned unless I asked which brings down the cleanliness score. Also, the elevator only goes up to the 6th floor, so if you're above that you'll have to take some stairs.

Excellent location in that it was near a lot of restaurants and stores. The rooms and bathroom were very clean! Shower stalls were very spacious! Owners were very kind and nice! I like how they serve us breakfast every morning. I also like how they had a kitchen for me to use if I had to cook my own food! Lot of tourist brochures to look at for someone who is interested in taking a city tour of Ulan Bator. They also had a treadmill to exercise, tv to watch, and a guitar to play, chairs and couches to sit if a guest needed it to. Will be more than happy to stay at this hotel again if I ever comeback to Ulan Bator!

This is my second visit. It is clean and close to the city center, so it is convenient to stay. There are convenience stores, markets, restaurants, and even a private currency exchange nearby, so it was very comfortable.

This guesthouse in central Ulaanbaatar is cheap and good value for money. It is functional with shared bathroom/toilet and hot water in the showers. No breakfast is offered but there are kitchen facilities. I stayed there a few days which entitled me to a free laundry service. Wi-fi worked. I would return.
