MPT Shipra Residency is a fantastic place to stay! The hospitality is good with staff always ready to assist. The rooms are OK, and comfortable. The location is also convenient, with easy access to local attractions viz Mahakaleshwar, Kal Bharav, Gadkalika and Harsiddhi shakti peeth. The overall ambiance is good and relaxing. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant stay while visiting Temples. Food served is also good to taste.

Like most government owned property, this hotel is also a hotel which has nice location, nice property but poorly managed. The rooms are large but not well cared for. The furniture is old, poorly kept & needs to be replaced. The hotel is very big & with progessional management can be easily upgraded to the next level. But unfortunately, MP Tourism is not doing a good job of running these can be nice hotels. The hotel has a big dining hall where we had breakfast. The breakfast had a wide spread & everything was good. If professionally managed, this hotel can fecth much higher rates & would be much appreciated.

My recent stay at this hotel was underwhelming and left quite a bit to be desired. While the rooms were clean and spacious, which is the bare minimum one would expect, that’s about where the positives end. The overall experience felt more mediocre than memorable. The biggest disappointment was the food. Despite being advertised as a key feature, the meals were bland, lacking variety, and far from what you’d expect at this price point. Room service was slow, and the dining area didn’t feel welcoming or properly maintained. For anyone who values a good meal during their stay, this hotel falls short in a big way. Service throughout my stay was passable at best. Staff were polite but seemed disinterested and inattentive, which made the atmosphere feel cold and impersonal. Basic requests took longer than necessary, which added to the overall frustration. While the room itself provided a decent place to sleep, that alone isn’t enough to warrant a return visit. With so many other options available, it’s hard to justify staying here again unless management addresses the poor dining experience and improves overall service quality.

Very nice hotel to stay in Ujjain, weather you are with family/friends/couple. The property is big and have ample parking space. Rooms are big and nice. Very clean. Neat and clean bathroom with amenities. Very comfortable bed. Service is also very good. Food is nice and tastier. Breakfast is complementary ***** with room. Hotel also has a bar in premises.

Centrally located in the busy area of Ujjain, the Shipra Residency is surprisingly well maintained for a Govt run facility. The rooms are spacious, linen clean and the beds are comfortably large. The washroom, as in most MP Hotels, has no segreagation of dry and wet regions. So the second person who goes in will need to be careful not to skid. The toiletieries are adequately provided and replenished. The water taps are "sophisticated" and challenge you to select your preference. Broad windows with thick curtains provide a cozy ambience. The parking lot is big (and parking at owner's risk!). The Hotel is in two blocks of two floors each. One has a lift to reach first floor. The older unit has provided only steps. So people with knee problems have to choose accordingly. The breakfast has a good spread but if a large number of guests simultaneously seat themselves, the kitchen staff struggle to replenish fast moving items. The food is tasty and a bit spicy. The staff are polite, and prompt.

Good location. Nice property, well behaved staff. Rooms are quite big in size but lacks proper maintenance as walls are really dirty . Housekeeping staff are not well trained . I was staying in a suit which had a private balcony but it was full of dust and obviously not cleaned for many months. During room cleaning I had to ask them to clean that area then only the hk staff did the cleaning. The reception & restaurant area are still well maintained . Except reception & restaurant the hotel doesn't have a centralised AC so in few areas you will feel exhausted in summer like in the bathroom & dressing area. At least dressing area should have a ceiling fan. I didn't expect a suite room bathroom & dressing area would be like this . Food - taste average. The tea in b/f buffet was too sweet. They should make tea without sugar so everyone can add sugar/jaggery according to their taste.
