"The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating they spoke basic english and they made the effort to translate to help. Service with a smile and I particularly liked that they had everything you needed in terms of amenities such as provided you with face wash, hair shampoo, cleanser etc. They also had a microwave which was handy for you to heat up food from the nearby 7/11 would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again."

"The staff's English needs improvement. The rooms are acceptable, and the view is fantastic, but a smell is coming from the toilet. The hotel requires a full deposit at the time of booking, and you have to pay for the room again after checking out. It can take several weeks to get your deposit refunded. I am still waiting for my refund after paying a deposit of 33000 yen along with 33000 yen for the room fee. :("
"The room was very nice. Although the Japanese-style room is small, it is quite comfortable to sleep in.
The public bathroom is relatively complete, there is a single room for bathing, and the hygiene is good.
There is a lounge on the second floor where you can chat with other travelers and drink beer provided by the hotel.
The atmosphere of Jingbuki is there, but not very high.
There are washing machines and dryers available for free, but please pay attention to the time when using them.
The disadvantage is that it is far away from the Uji Landscape Center and requires a long walk."
"The owner is friendly and the facilities are ok. Private locker is paid and there is no TV instead. It's also an advantage to see the owner only when I first greeted and even check out is unmanned. Recommended during off-season. You can use a four-person room alone. The location is a bit out of the way because it is Uji, but it is not too far from Kyoto Station."

"Everything else is good. Very nice traditional Japanese-style room with complete facilities. The lady boss can speak Chinese and the lady at the front desk can speak fluent English. Communication is no problem. The only problem is that it is far from JR Kokura Station, about 1km away. You can go to Uji by taking the Nara Line."
"I stayed for one night in twin with two people on a business trip.
The room was large and the facilities were clean and new.
The restaurant also used all-you-can-drink at a reasonable price. There is no bath or open-air bath, but there was also a day trip hot spring sauna and it was large and substantial. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity."
【Carrying Forward a Legacy: Our Vision】
Tsukimikaku is a historic ryokan with a 100-year legacy, quietly nestled along the Uji River in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto. This area is steeped in history, as it once housed the remains of Shigetsu Castle, the 16th-century retirement residence of warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Preserving and passing on the legacy of this remarkable location is both an honor and a responsibility for us. While cherishing the traditions rooted in this land, we have reimagined Tsukimikaku as a modern resort that seamlessly blends contemporary sensibilities with its rich heritage. This is not merely a reconstruction of a building but a commitment to sharing the stories and cultural significance of this site with our visitors.
Our ryokan features the only hot spring in the Fushimi area, offering pure waters drawn from deep underground to rejuvenate both mind and body. Guests can also enjoy unique experiences such as a Japanese restaurant inspired by the Momoyama period, a tearoom dedicated to Sen no Rikyu, and an art gallery that merges technology with creativity. Each space is designed to provide an extraordinary experience.
We warmly welcome every guest to immerse themselves in the history, beauty, andessence of Kyoto during their stay at Tsukimikaku.
We hope your time here will not only allow you to feel the weight of history but also create new memories, making your visit truly unforgettable.
