My first time to visit Kyoto and the access from this hotel is great. I could enjoy the time at Kyoto and Uji. Unfortunately, I booked smoking room and it was terrible for me. I hope you will enjoy your trip in Japan and will check whether non-smoking type.

Located within a 5min walk from Uji station, the hotel is located on the southern side of the river close to many restaurants. Staff were friendly, the Bento Box breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was very clean. Will stay here again.

The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating they spoke basic english and they made the effort to translate to help. Service with a smile and I particularly liked that they had everything you needed in terms of amenities such as provided you with face wash, hair shampoo, cleanser etc. They also had a microwave which was handy for you to heat up food from the nearby 7/11 would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

Great location, short walk from Uni train station, in the middle of many attraction but not too busy. Staff very friendly but limited English ability. It does not hinder our enjoyment for the trip.
Cons: We asked for non-smoking room, but got a smoking room. The smell of smoke was lingering, but not too bad after we open the window.
Overall, great hotel and location. Would choose again.

It's near Uji Station, a very clean hotel, very comfortable for one person, and the price is reasonable.
There's a Matcha street just outside the door, I will choose this hotel next time.
