I chose this hotel instead of a business hotel because it is near Ueda Station and has a hot spring. It is an old inn with a banquet hall and an accommodation building attached. Even if the building is old, you can stay comfortably at an inn that is well cleaned, but unfortunately this inn was not like that. I was shown to a Japanese-style room + bedroom on the third floor, but 1) When I took off the cushions that were stacked, a black object fell out. 2) When I tried to use a teacup, the bottom was green (tea left over from the previous person?) 3) Someone's socks were lying on the side of the bed. I'm sure I would have noticed when I was leaving the sheets... The hot spring is also on a shift for men and women, and there is no razor, so you have to buy one at the front desk for 50 yen. I have stayed at various hotels and inns on business trips, but this is the first time I have stayed in a hotel or inn where the room was so poorly cleaned. I would like them to improve this, but I probably won't use it again, so it doesn't matter.

They were very polite and it was wonderful to be in an inn where famous actors from the Showa era had stayed. I was worried about the cold, but they brought extra heaters and jackets for me, which was very helpful. In fact, it was so warm that I didn't need the extra heater. Thank you very much.

We arrived after 10pm, but were given a very pleasant welcome. Apparently the building dates back to the Taisho period. Some may find it old, but for us who often stay in business hotels on business trips, it had a cozy atmosphere. Wi-Fi was available, and the toilet was a shower toilet. There was also a small warm air heater. There were two baths: a rock bath and a boat bath. Each room was rented for private use. The water was a little hot, which was nice. The bedrooms were on the second floor. It was the coldest day of the season, but we warmed up in the hot spring and had a nice, warm rest. We also had a leisurely breakfast.
