Simply amazing - fabulous hospitality, owner’s family and staff kept the place spotless - rooms, pool, dining area, facilities, quietly and efficiently throughout the day. Buffet dinner the best example of traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Service as good or better than a number of top London restaurants. Pool area is a beautiful and calm oasis after your safari. Booked safari through Thilak, he finds great quality safari jeeps and guide/driver as needed, and all at more than fair & competitive price. Two night stay was perfect, we will recommend without reservation.

What a great family run hotel. We were met by the owner, a very funny man who seemed to do everything front of house. Very friendly and hospitable. Food was really good. Local Sri Lanka dinner, which was buffet style which our lads loved, and helped themselves to a couple of helpings. Good value as well. Breakfast was fruit, omelettes (or other egg styles) and pancakes with honey. The pool was welcome after an afternoon in the safari park. Rooms were very good, comfy beds. Aircon, fan and mosquito nets in the rooms we had. Would highly recommend as a great place if visiting Uda Walawe

AMAZING This place is truly wonderful. The rooms are clean and spacious, the buffet was delicious and they even made off menu meals for our two fussy children! The safari guide was also great, we saw approx 20 elephants due to his quick reactions and links with other local guides. The swimming pool was closed when we were there but when it opens it will be paradise in the jungle! 100% recommend this! Such great value for 5* service

Good service and clean rooms! And ofcourse friendly people working. When pool will be ready this is must go place after the safari. Location is really good and evening buffet is brilliant, dont need to search for a restaurant. Menu offers kids a proper meals also!

Comfortable rooms looking out onto green forest. They’re building a pool now which will make the place even more special. Jonty was a great safari guide. The staff are super helpful and the curry dinner is really great (don’t bother with Lady Chef btw, v average) If you want a proper SL lunch, there’s a place down the road towards the elephant transit camp which is good and run by a really nice lady. Can’t remember the name but there’s a rotti stall just next to it, about 10 mins walk from the guest house.

Superb authentic family run lodge, ideal for an overnight safari stop at Udawalawe. A quiet secluded jungle location, and enjoyed a delicious local curry buffet and generous breakfast. The host is super helpful and responsive and arranged our safari tour with an excellent guide and his own safari jeep. Highly recommended.

Beyond the confines of the hotel, the staff went above and beyond by organizing a safari for us. The seamless coordination and thoughtful arrangements added an adventurous touch to our trip, elevating the overall experience.

If, you love nature and amazing food this is the place to stay. The moment we arrived we started seeing colourful birds, small little lizards and were greeted by the gorgeous family that owned the place. They organise everything for you, tell you stories of Sri Lanka, feed you tasty food and greet you each day with a warm genuine smile. They just made things really easy which ensured we could just relax. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave as the hammocks outside our room were a great place to chill with a book and enjoy the sounds of the jungle. Being Australian we played a game of cricket with the family before dinner which was a highlight of our trip. The buffet dinner was so good and it allowed us to try more types of the local cuisine. I loved to read the books they have for visitors about the area and notably the elephants. Our sleep was comfortable and so quiet as it’s on a small road with limited traffic.

A fantastic find, family run, impeccably clean and lovely room. Family are very helpful and have their own Safari vehicles which was fantastic. The buffet on the evening was superb and the breakfast just as good. The price of this room makes this stay the most excellent value for money we had in Sri Lanka, I'd give more than 5 stars!!!
