Shiv Niwas Palace by Hrh Group of Hotels

The service at this hotel was very good. We were not happy with our rooms but they went out of their way to accommodate us. The groups and setting within the palace are beautiful and the food at breakfast was fresh. They were happy to make anything on request. We didn't use the pool facilities but it looked welcoming.

Top Tier place; it was such a joy to be here. The customer service was exquisite and will be coming again with family and friends. I wish I could live here for many more years, but for now, I will be back very soon. I can’t wait to see this place once more

We were in Room 32 Best service and experience by Sriram, Radhe and Sohanlal! They treated us like their own and were looking after us so well! They literally took care of us and were getting us everything we need so quickly and extra! Efforts and thoughtfulness really appreciated! Thanks to them for making our experience and stay special and worth it! Definitely recommend it The food at Paantya was mind blowing Worth eating there! We had dinner and breakfast there - matar pudina ki tikki mix veg and roti, and for breakfast we had Hakka noodles and masala dosa which were great quality!

We have spent two weeks travelling through Rajasthan but this was the worst of 6 hotels we stayed in. We were initially given a Palace room but upgraded to a suite. The Palace rooms are cramped and very tired. The Suite was much better as it gave us space to enjoy however ….. the bathroom has had a small makeover but it’s still way below what you would expect for this amount of money. The tiles are from the Seventies, the grouting around the bath panel is a complete botch. A scale is there but doesn’t work. It’s a Jacuzzi bath but doesn’t work! The fridge is very good but there are no drinks to buy - NO MINIBAR! The view from our room is great and some of the other parts of the area are wonderful and the breakfast is okay. If you’re feeling flush - a small Corona beer is 600 rupees. We ate out every night as there are lots of good restaurants nearby - Charcoal is very good with an incredible view and super cheap. Ambrai on the other side of the water is also very good.

The location of the hotel wowed us. Set atop the hill and in the palace grounds of Srinivasa Arvin Singh Ji the ambience allows you to imagine the days of the Maharanas. The food at the restaurant Paantya was spectacular the service of Pratap Singh and his attention to all our dietary needs was so kind and helped us enjoy our meals thoroughly

Shiv Niwas Palace is a must visit heritage property if you want to experience authencity of Udaipur. Our lake view room provided a unforgettable view of sunset over lake Pichola. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. We had a great dinner in their restaurant, thanks to Mr. Dhruva Sarkar. And Mr. Sohanlal took great care of us at the breakfast, and without him, we would have missed visiting the bar. We will love to be back in Udaipur, and Shiv Niwas Palace.
