I was blown away when I arrive at the pool as my birthday was outdoor,everything I asked they delivered especially the deck setting,I found the table and chairs arranged as per my request,our rooms where clean and full of self catering utensils as I cooked my meals there,had braai the stuff was very friendly and made our stay pleasant.my friends and family members adored the place and where happy about everything

I had driven past Magoebaskloof Mountain Lodge many times wanting an opportunity to stay there. Recently I needed to sleep over for a long distance trip and I was unfortunately very disappointed. I stayed in chalet one and immediately as I walked in it was clear that the couch and curtains had significant dirt stains to the point where I was very uncomfortable to even sit down. The TV remote had no batteries and both the TV and DSTV remotes were grimy. The previous occupants last dishes were still in the dry rack not packed away. The shower curtain had holes in it and in fact everything seemed old and poorly maintained. I will never stay there again.

The view was to die for, and as for other things we were not happy at all. The room that we booked in, the stove was not working properly, the blankets were not enough, hot water was available for just a short time and the electricity was always tripping. The security guard forced us to switch off the music and sleep even when the music was not loud.

Ants everywhere, worn out furniture, black mold in the bathrooms, dirty fridge with left over food inside, body hair in the beds, burn holes in the carpets.. Never again!!!

I didn't like the stay - the rooms were not nice at all. Need alot of TLC & they have alot of Cockroaches. The bed sheets were as OLD as ever. You can see that it is starting to look delapidated and not kept up to date or up to standard. Very very little crockery in the kitchen and things looked dirty. Just really not lekker. The views from the eating area were stunning and the Restaurant was great & the food was nice. But other than that I wouldn't go back there. It was ok for the reason I was there which was for the Magoebaskloof Race but otherwise I won't use the Mountain Lodge again. Sorry for the bad review but that is my opinion.

Very beautiful place, I would go back any time of the day, the tranquillity, atmosphere the peaceful space is out of this world. The staff is very friendly and welcoming (High 5) The drive (roads) getting to the Magoebaskloof (Memories) I will never forget.

Rondawel no 22 poor state of affairs.. 1. Fridge leaks. 2. Bedding had marks on. 3. Shower head broken. 4. Only 1 plug works by the kettle. 5. Mold on the walls in the bathroom. 6. Entrance Door doesn't seal properly. 7. 1 roll of loo paper ( no extra). 8. No loo spray. 9. Wardrobe doors look shabby. (Breaking at the top) 10. Fan cannot be made slower or faster as the pulling mechanism has been broken off.
