Magoebaskloof hotel is an absolute gem! We were treated to welcome dinks, snacks and an amazing bouquet of flowers in the room. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The hotel has a charming air of a bygone era with dramatic views over the indigenous forests. The trails in the forest allow one to be immersed in all that nature has to offer. Highly recomended! the chalet is not fumigated for thatch insects, they keeping falling onto the bed. We stayed a week; linen was never changed even when requested to, they would rotate it, so you don't notice. most places not dusted. A great place, peaceful, family friendly and would come back but house keeping is disappointing.

A warm welcome greets you from the staff who work in every department of the extrordinary hotel. It is set in beautiful grounds, overlooking stunning scenery of the mountains. The history and how the hotel came about was facinating to learn whilst we stayed there. A totally chilled out enviorment. pool area to sit in both inside and out. Our room was comfortable but very dated. It was however nice to have a bath. There was a fridge and also amenities to make hot drinks, which were replenished daily. Our room was cleaned daily. The resturant produced food to a very high standard both at breakfast and dinner.
