Hilton Garden Inn Tuxtla Gutierrez

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The rate for Hilton points per night was a bargain. (The cash price was great too.) The location was good, with a shopping mall 5 minutes away. As a Hilton Diamond member, I was upgraded to a suite. This was a pleasant surprise, because I rarely get upgraded at Hilton Garden Inns. The staff are great at this hotel, including the housekeeping. The laundry service was efficient and better priced than other hotels. It was nice to have a pool area and a gym with all an all in one weight lifting station. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. I highly recommend this superb hotel!
Holiday Inn Tuxtla Gutierrez

Overall a not so satisfactory stay without any frills. There is no fridge in the rooms which even far cheaper hotels provide in Tuxtla nor is there any noise isolation. The sheets smelled really nicely and it looked inviting. Looked! I found a spider, very small and 2 ants crawling unimpressed over my bed but I evacuated them gently.I guess their maintenance isn't existent and it shows. Nor is pest control. Glad the scorpions and serpents avoided me...just joking.maybe...The housekeeper was yelling around at 8 am. Fortunately I was already awake. The building is really old with another huge building next to this one. Bed factory I am normally fleeing from...The view was terrible at a wall although being diamond elite ihg. So this was their upgrade? I got my reasons I don't frequent holiday inns much. And I was right again. The safety box was dying the moment I tried to closed it,so they actually changed the whole thing instead of changing the batteries (we don't have batteries) ... the guy to,d me literally he wasn't feeling like being sent over to the mall buying new ones so he returned with a new safety box later. What a hotel! The rest wasn't much better...it's like traveling back to 1975, apparently nothing ever changed there since then. The restaurant looked awful with its lights that would be more appropriate for lighting up an airport hangar or an international border crossing than a place where you eat but ok... their strange waiters that got so much more to do on their cellphones than caring for guests. No tip for you! There are hotels that shoul ho torn and flattened just to make space for an exciting new parking lot. Would I return to this one? Definitely never !
Marriott Tuxtla Gutierrez Hotel

I am Lifetime Titanium within the Marriott Rewards Program. That means that I have 40 years of experience staying at Marriott Hotels around the world. Never have I encountered a Marriott Hotel that is this pathetic- this badly managed and run. The restaurant’s food was, at best, substandard and, at worst, just plain bad. No flavor in any of the overpriced dishes. One expects to pay more at a Marriott restaurant in the hotel. One also expects to receive a good meal. Yes, the overpriced was there. The good meal was not. Far from it. Then there’s the Club M on the 5th floor. To call it a Club M is nothing short of a bad joke. They post hours for the various “amenities,” breakfast, snacks, etc. Why bother? Nobody is there. Nothing is there. Not even a bottle of water. Too pathetic! Finally, our room. There was nothing actually wrong with the room, save for the Rave Club whose noise made sleep impossible until well after 2:00 am. One might argue that the hotel is not in charge of the club and it’s noise. My counter argument is that they have to be aware of that impossible to deal with noise so when the hotel barely has anybody booked (as it did not when we were there) then, for God sake, fill up the other side of the damn place first so people don’t have to deal with this impossible to sleep through noise. I’d rather be at the end of an airport runway! No thought given to the food. No thought given to the Club M. No thought given to the comfort of the hotel guests; not even elite Marriott members. This hotel is an absolute failure and should be *****ped of its franchise designation! Then, there was the room. Room

Axkan Arte Hotel Tuxtla

The hotel has a large and clean room, a refrigerator with a variety of beers at 35 pesos (1,5 euros) and a very pleasant terrace to eat them. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. They made us charge of the room without notice and without requiring any signature on the booking card, which made us a commission from our bank. It is not recommended to contract breakfast, together with the room, because they understand two continental breakfast cookies, butter, marmelade, fruit and coffee; if you want something more, you have a surcharge. They offered us apart some eggs for 35 pesos (€1.5), but the next day they told us that they were 50 pesos (2.1 euros), better request the letter at the moment. On your website they indicate that for more than 2 nights of accommodation the transfer to the airport is free; we have asked you several times for weeks and we have not received answer until the day before traveling, so we had already contracted the transportation with another agency.
