We’ve just returned from a couple of nights away staying in Grahams Bothy. The accommodation was spotless, cosy and the beds were lovely and comfortable. My kids used to kayaks and paddle board and I braved it and had a wee swim. It was beautiful. The site itself has a lovely feel to it we used the bbq and hot tub which was great. It was very quiet while there so didn’t see mean people. We did meet the owner/farmer Jamie while he was carrying out some maintenance work 😆, He was lovely and took us a wee tour around the farm to meet some of the animals. We are already planning our next trip! Thanks for a great visit.

We booked this as a bit of a last minute decision, mostly so we could explore more of the local cycling routes. The place is an absolute gem, friendly helpful owners and everything you need for a restful and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend a visit.

My friend and I recently spent 5 days staying at Shepard’s Loch in the Boathouse accomodation. It was a truly great getaway. The accomodation was clean and cosy, and we had beautiful views out onto one of the loch. There is a lot to do and see at the campgrounds, and especially plenty for kids. The various lochs were great for a swim, and there were many other interesting things about, including a beautiful veggie patch where you can pick your own vegetables, canoes and paddle boards, and a sauna. We especially loved the fishing hut - a multi-room communal area, that is the perfect place to chill out. Jamie and Mimi and all the other staff were very generous, helpful, and kind. We couldn’t have asked for better. Jamie showed us around the farm, took us in to see the pigs, and even let us help with some sheep hoarding. The surrounding area, particularly the little villages of Gardenstown, Crovie, Portsoy, and Pennan, are gorgeous. There is also an excellent walk that you can do just 10km away, over the cliffs along the Banff coast. Can’t recommend it enough!

We spent a lovely weekend in The Wheel House. It was very clean and had everything you needed for the few days we were there. The honesty shop is well stocked and offers complimentary tea/coffee and eggs with the option to purchase fresh vegetables from the well stocked allotment. My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely massage from Laura in The Healing Hut which I would highly recommend. Slept so well afterwards - thank you!

WOW!!!! This is a must on your list of places to visit. Whether you like camping or glamping, So much love and attention has been put into this unbelievable and stunning place. From the natural design of the accommodation in the beautiful surroundings, to the free vegetable garden. community area, fire pit, children's play area, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing and much much more. Jamie, the exuberant Laird of Shepherd's Loch, with his wonderful charm, wit and generosity has been known to round up his guests when he has completed his round up of the cattle and the sheep. This will most likely lead to an entertaining evening, which the children seem to enjoy too. The guests may be invited to to help out with some chores around the farm. Anything from rounding up the sheep or cattle, to helping with gardening or help with the laundry duties. We stayed for two nights, but wished we could have stayed much longer. A massive thank you to Jamie and his staff, from Tracey, Sue and Alex. We will be back. Highly recommended.

Beehive yurt is super cosy, with very comfortable bedding and separate dining and bathroom facilities combined to the yurt. Loads of fun activities at hand for the younger glampors in peaceful farming surroundings. If you want to get away from it all, you wont be dissapointed

This is our 5th visit to this little patch of heaven! We absolutely love it! There is lots to do if you like adventure but also so nice and peaceful just to enjoy the farm and accommodation too... we have stayed in Graham's Bothy, the Otters House, The Beehive twice and before the Fisherman's hut became a communal games area. All very comfortable and offer lovely comfortable beds. I would recommend the Beehive for space and we loved Jamie's (The owner and Shepherd of the Loch) new addition of the Hot Tub this year... I also had the pleasure of receiving a very relaxing Massage from the lovey Laura Crockart at her little "Healing Hut" situated on site 😊..there is also an on site Sauna which is another great addition to the site.... my tip would be if you have wet suits, take them and visit Cullykhan Bay for a bit of Wild swimming. Take some logs and set up a fire, pack a bbq and simply enjoy!!

What a fantastic stay my kids, their cousins and I had! Even the two grumpy teenagers had a blast. The accommodation was cosy, well equipped and a good size for our 2 small families to stay in. The location was fantastic. The peace and tranquility of the countryside but only 10 minutes from beautiful villages with lovely beaches (Gardenstown was our favourite). Only a 15 minute drive to the nearest supermarket if needed! The site itself was brilliant. Lots of for us to do: Paddle boarding Kayaking Fishing Swimming Zip line Park Football Sauna Communal hut with games and bbq Walks Just sitting and enjoying the peace. There is also a little shop and an allotment you can pick vegetables, fruits and herbs from. The host is incredible! Jamie ensured we were comfortable and was really great with the kids. He took them on an adventure for gold and toasted some marshmallows with them. We will absolutely be back! Thank you so much for a great stay!
