Visited with Road Scholar tour group. This is an amazing place. Quaint yet with most amenities. No air conditioning but I did not feel the need. Very accommodating. WiFi available. Food is great. Loved the cheese. Hiking trails are good. Views are spectacular.

Such and amazing place. Comfortable and beautiful with an incredible garden. Fantastic views from the room. Great hospitality. I was only here a few nights but already want to return. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant and everything was great.

I stayed here for three nights in March of 2024 and couldn't have been happier. The food and service were top shelf, the gardens were lush and full of tropical flowers and unique birds. The panoramic views were incredible, and it was nestled at the foot of an active volcano. It's close to the town of Turrialba and other interesting sites.

Nice hotel in an area of Costa Rica not overrun with tourists. The grounds are lovely and the views are beautiful. No real amenities to speak of, though. Breakfast is a basic buffet and was ok. Dinner, though, was very good, albeit expensive. The issue is that if you don’t have a car, there is really nowhere within walking distance to eat, so you are stuck eating here and paying the price. Our room was nice enough. Fairly spacious although a bit dated. Some upgrades are needed to modernize the space. As noted naive, you are far from town, so you need a car to see or do anything. All in all, a decent stay for a couple of nights.

A one night stop off on tour of Costa Rica. When we arrrived, it was misty and the hotel was very cold. By morning, the sun was out and we had a chance to walk round the lovely gardens and admire the views of Turrialba volcano ( the hotel is half way up). The room was comfortable but cold and no means of heating it. Dinner and breakfast were reasonable. Not sure why the tour stopped here as we didn’t do much other than eat and sleep.

So beautiful and the people are warm and friendly. So many species of birds at this mountain lodge. I recorded 19 different species in 2 minutes from my balcony. Also, my balcony overlooked the Tirialba Volcano. Such a lovely and peaceful lodge and location.

The views from every window were breath-taking, and the surrounding gardens are full of amazing plants and singing birds. We had a comfortable room with a balcony overlooking colorful flowers and a tree fern hosting a nesting wren. Peaceful and beautiful!

Beautiful, private hillside, 5 acre location. Family owned and managed with a personal touch. Food was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Location was Pura Vida. Reasonable rates. Spectacular views.
