I felt at home. Such a beautiful place. The design, the room, the furnishings... everything is lovingly done. The owner welcomed me very warmly, and it was my first time staying in a dorm. It was fantastic. I slept very well and enjoyed lounging on the terrace. It's very hot right now, so you can enjoy life outside the hostel around 6 p.m. 😃 You meet lots of other travelers from all over the world. So it's not only a great place to relax, but also a great place to exchange information and experiences! I'm so glad I found this place ❤️
And for animal lovers: There are a few cats and a cute dog to cuddle with 🥰

An oasis in the middle of the desert! Amazing place, really clean and comfy, host is excellent, English speaking, nice environment, honest service, good tips. I love the place.

What a place. Clean, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic staff. Beautiful cafe and bar attached to the hostel. The owner speaks perfect English and is always ready to help. The place is social yet calm and you can easily meet fellow travellers!

Impeccable cleanliness, especially within the bathroom. The room was spacious with ac/heating should one need, plus there were lockers and locks to the room door, accessible via key and key fob respectively (likewise the front door). Water and coffees and breakfast is available at the hostel too, as are tour options. Overall, the place is excellent and popular with tourists from around the world. The social spaces are ambulant and there is a cute golden retriever and kitty for bonus points. Would recommend 200%

I loved staying here. The lady who runs the place is SO helpful and can help organise desert tours around the area. Also, rooms have air-con, which is crucial for a place of such climatic extremes. Recommended.

I had a great stay here at New Dap Hostel and would recommended it to anyone wanting to stay in Turpan. The location isn’t super central but reasonably well connected by buses and only a 10RMB taxi away from the centre. The owner is very helpful and hospitable and the cats and dogs of the hostels were a delight! The shared bathrooms of the larger rooms weren’t the best so I would recommend staying in one of the smaller rooms that have their own bathroom. The common areas here are some of the best in any hostel in China, really big and well decorated, lovely to hang out in before or after a big day!
