It's a shame, I had hoped for more based on the website. The positives: - attractively designed and renovated room - the lobby and breakfast room, as well as the stairwell - good quality breakfast, but the selection could be better - cleanliness throughout the hotel - central location, numerous restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The negatives: - check-in desk was not staffed upon arrival and there was no indication of how to reach anyone. - I paid the bill for my 3-day reservation at check-in - the room still had carpeting, even though this shouldn't be standard for hygiene reasons, especially since it was newly built. - the sink and toilet are so close together that your upper body gets trapped (design error). - the loud traffic noise is extremely stressful and annoying, even with the windows closed. Rush hour traffic and commercial vehicles roar through here every day from 4 a.m. until 11 p.m. Not far from the cobblestone market square with no speed limits. - no decent parking! Public parking is available opposite and only free at night until 7 a.m. But the average guest still has breakfast. And the offered paid hotel parking, €6/day, about 120 meters away, turned out to be a narrow vacant lot with limited turning space, gravel and grass. Truly a disgrace and inability to solve this better. - Due to illness, I had to leave a day early; at other hotels, that's no problem, but here they didn't even want to accommodate the customer's request as a gesture of goodwill. They just said the company would pay for it. - Desk in the room without table lighting. If I could, I would only recommend rooms facing the backyard. If the positive points weren't in such contrast, I would have given it one point less.
